About this series
It's a time of heroes and sacrifices.
After a bloody war, the colonies are free.
But they are not at peace.
The Alliance of Free Colonies is fragile and alluring to power-mongers. New enemies arise from around every corner, seeking to gain control of the now independent fringe stations. Assassinations, kidnappings, and murder become commonplace.
Aramis Reyne has dedicated himself to building a new station on the ice world of Playa. It’s not easy, between battling the corporations for control and fending off attempts on his life. It gets worse when Critch goes missing, and Reyne learns of a new plot that could send the colonies spiraling back into war.
To save the Alliance, Reyne must infiltrate the Collective Unified Forces and make an impossible rescue.
The race is on and time is running out.

- Fringe Runner
1
Aramis Reyne is an old space captain, hounded by arthritis and haunted by memories of war. He makes ends meet by running mail and supplies to the farthest, darkest reaches of the Collective known as the fringe. When Reyne and his ragtag crew salvage a dead ship during one of their runs, they find themselves thrown into a galactic conspiracy involving warship captains, secret organizations, fringe rebels, and pirates. With interplanetary war on the horizon, Reyne must confront wartime ghosts and dust off old skills or else he'll be forced to watch thousands of innocents be slaughtered…again. Fans of Firefly are sure to enjoy this space adventure by bestselling author Rachel Aukes.
- Fringe Station
2
The rebellion may be over before it begins… Two colonies have been destroyed. The remaining colonies are in a chokehold while the Collective uses firepower to silence protestors. Word of a fringe rebellion has been spreading, but getting recruits to sign up is proving to be a challenge, especially with Critch imprisoned in the unescapable Citadel. Cut off from their supplies and recruits, Aramis Reyne must put his trust in a mysterious new ally. Together, they devise a reckless plan for rescuing Critch and building a torrent army. With enemies coming at them from every angle, they soon realize that no one, not even the fringe, wants them to succeed. But if they fail, the fringe will burn.
- Fringe Campaign
3
The torrents are being hunted. Blood and debris smother what remains of the colonies. The colonies’ only hope is to fight back. The Collective is coming at the torrent leaders from every angle, bringing bloodshed and violence across the fringe. Critch leads the Terran front, trying to stop the Collective from advancing on the remaining fringe colonies. Heid runs missions to save refugees. And Reyne faces impossible odds at uniting rebel armies that are more different than alike into a single force to be reckoned with. Victory will not come easy. Battles will be waged. Friends will die. Sacrifices must be made. But to win, the rebels will have to cross a line from which there’s no return.
- Fringe War
4
The war for independence is here. Parliament has declared war on the colonies. Its armada thunders across the fringe, killing anyone in its path. Terra is the first to fall, and the torrents are sent running for their lives. The fight for independence is doomed unless the torrent leaders can turn the odds back in their favor. To turn the tide, Reyne must reclaim a colony once destroyed by a deadly blight, and Critch must strike at the very heart of the Collective. The fringe has the numbers, but the Collective has the technology and the weapons. To win, the torrents will have to sacrifice everything to defeat the CUF, and even then, it may not be enough. Can the torrents survive long enough to win their freedom before the CUF bombs every colony into oblivion? We must prevail. Or every last colonist will die.
