Gareth screamed, releasing his anger in Ravion's face. Enraged, he brought his fist down. The psionic weapon stabbed deep into the earth beside Ravion's head. Another inch and it would have split his skull wide open. Staring into the defeated scout's eyes, Gareth slammed his forehead down, bashing him in the face. Seeing all resistance fade away, he climbed off the unconscious warrior. His body shook from anger. It took everything not to kill him. Gritting his teeth, Gareth picked himself up and marched toward the forest.
Several of the dalari soldiers moved into his path, spears and swords ready to stop him.
"Move!" Gareth demanded, waving his hand. They flew off the path, launched by an unseen force.
Landing roughly on the rocky terrain, they picked themselves up and started after the bald warrior.
"Don't pursue. We have more pressing matters here!"
The third and final installment to the Heroes of Order trilogy. But that doesn't mean the story ends here. Step through the portal into the prison realm of Aryth and experience the dark god's fall in Rise of the Nightkings!

It's not always the good guys who defeat evil! An ancient evil has awoken, unleashing a long-forgotten darkness upon the world. After a mysterious storm, Gareth returns home to find his family slaughtered. In his grief, he vows to destroy the foul creatures responsible. Gathering a band of misfits, they embark on a quest that will forever change their lives. A found relic calls to the wicked Dreualfar, the very creatures Gareth swore to destroy. But genocide is no easy feat, and the Dreualfar will stop at nothing to free their dark patron. Can Gareth and his mercenaries serve as the last defenders of a doomed land—or will they perish in the battle at their doorstep? Find out in Izaryle's Will, the epic first installment of the Heroes of Order trilogy! --- Gareth stood, letting his chair fall behind him. Drawing his cutlass, he glared at the void. "I knew I'd find you dark-skinned bastards here!" His tone was low but deadly. Springing into the darkness, he disappeared from sight. Ravion drew his longsword. "Dreu?" He questioned himself. Sword at the ready he casually stepped into the night, following after the impulsive warrior. The darkness rolled in like a wave, devouring half the room. Patrons disappeared inside it, their screams echoing all around. The unnatural shadow moved as if it were alive. It traveled across the area leaving a wake of dead where cheerful citizens stood moments before. Blood poured from the fresh wounds, seeping into the cracks of the wood planked floor. Lifting his great sword, Kane charged, ready to halt the strange shadow. Swinging with all his might the blow struck home, sinking into something solid but soft. He twisted and shoved deeper, hoping the wound was fatal. Withdrawing, he spun around, ready to attack again. The darkness in the room faded, leaving a black-skinned alfar in its place. Its body laid motionless on the floor, a thick black ichor seeping from the fatal chest wound.

The greatest victories do not come without sacrifice! War has ravaged the land. Powers shift. Corruption seeps into the hearts of men, while others are freed from its curse. In the aftermath of battle, Gareth and his companions are separated and alone, each struggling to find their own way back. But salvation is no easy task and the forces of darkness do not forgive easily. Deep in the bowels of Dalmoura a doorway is open. The one path into the prison realm is vulnerable. It's only a matter of time until the dark god discovers it. Can the Dreuslayers find the prison in time to stop Izaryle from escaping—or will they succumb to the darkness within themselves? Find out in Izaryle's Prison, the thrilling second installment of the Heroes of Order trilogy! --- Gareth pointed his cutlass toward the altar on the far side of the room. One of the nearby doors stood open, awaiting their entry. "Only open door I've seen. I'd guess that's where the previous visitors ventured." The group crossed the room, finding the small antechamber off the side of the nave. Stepping into the ancient stairwell, the walls flared to life. The mounted scones glowed a purple flame, illuminating their descent around the twisting corridor. Reaching the bottom they passed into the small room. A pile of purple stone lay crumbled in the center and the rear wall was reflective, much like the mirror they'd previously seen. Ravion felt a strange familiarity with the stone. He could feel the dagger calling to him, begging to be touched. Fighting against its will he stepped past the crumbled stone and approached the ancient speculum. Pressing his hand against the semi-solid surface, ripples expanding from his touch. "It looks like this is the place." Talking a deep breath he walked through, feeling the water-like substance swallow him. This is the second installment of the Heroes of Order trilogy. Be sure to conclude the epic tale by reading the third and final book, Izaryle's Key!
