California Girl in New York

In Southern California it was Semester break and Wendy was off from school.  She was 20 and in my senior year at USC in the mid-1960s.  She was a pretty good-looking girl at 5'7", and slim, with a cute face.  Of all the sororities at school, I was in one that focused on the brainier and athletic students for their membership. Not the pin-up party girl types. At her age, Wendy knew she was quite naïve about the ways of the world and hoped she could use the break remedy that situation.

Wendy's older sister had recently been discharged from the Navy about 6 months ago and was living in New York. She invited Wendy to come out and spend her break with her in New York. While Wendy was there her sister invited a girl, Jayne, who she knew from the Navy to spend the night.  She was about 35 and very good looking. One morning after her sister had left for work, Jayne went to Wendy's bedroom for a chance to get to know one another.  

The time flew as the two women talked about almost everything, and Wendy was thinking how she was attracted to Jayne. Then Jayne realized the time has grown late and had to leave. Before she left, she told Wendy where she'd be staying, ask her to come over for interesting get togethers her friend had on Saturday nights. Wendy knew she would do whatever it took to see Jayne again and promised her she would come.

Candice Christian

Candice was born in Paris KY on 9 January 1988. Her parents, George Bertrand Christian, an attorney who once aspired to be an actor, and Frances Hollowell insisted that Candice and her sister Simone, be sent to a Catholic school. Candice was deeply religious as a child, at one point thought of becoming a nun.

Chapter One

It was Semester break and we were off from school.  I was 20 and in my senior year at USC in the mid-1960s in Southern California.  I was a pretty good looking I thought, 5'7", slim, cute face. Of the sororities at school, I was in one that focused on the brainier and athletic students for their membership.  My parents were divorced and my sister and I used to live with my mom until a year ago, but mom died and I now lived with my dad in an apartment near the college.  He had remarried, but his new wife was living in a retirement area now while he continued to work.

When I lived with my mom, the house was always a mess (she was always a poor housekeeper and when she was ill she did very little).  The apartment my dad and my sister and I  lived in was nice, but very small.  Neither place was a place where you would want to have friends over, so I didn't have a lot of friends in high school.  I never went to the parties in high school.  I never had either the clothes or the transportation, so I stayed home.  I was generally perfectly happy at home with a good book and some nice music. College changed a lot of that. With a full scholarship I lived a much more structured life.

So, since I didn't date, I was still a virgin and likely to remain that way for a good while I wondered if I was queer? (lesbian wasn't a term we used  had back then) I didn't know.  I knew I was excited by girls' bodies—I used to look at pictures of women in Life Magazine.  But I also used to pleasure myself to regular girl and guy porn I was sometimes able to get my hands on.  On campus in some of the restrooms, some of the girls used to do things, but I never found out what because they never invited me to join them.  I think I was too clean and too brainy for them—not that I ever put anyone down, it's just the way it was.  So, except for masturbation (which I did a lot), I hadn't had any kind of sex.

My older sister had joined the Navy about a year before I started college and had been discharged about 6 months ago.  It seems she was a lesbian, and I guess the Navy found out.  I wasn’t sure what that was, maybe a spy. I didn’t think so. No matter what it was, she had moved in with another girl she knew in Brooklyn and was living there and working in New York. 

I guess she missed me, because she invited me to come out and spend my break with her.  Her place was big enough and I had a bed to myself.  She and her roommate worked, so I took care of my own meals during the day, and we'd meet in the evenings and often go to a show. 

I prowled all around New York, mostly by myself. I tried to find some porn shops that I knew were in NY and could go to, but I guess they couldn't advertise, and I didn't know where they were (and they probably wouldn't let me in any way since I wasn’t 21), so I
