There’s an old saying people often repeat without much thought — The farmer is the king.
I used to hear it and smile politely, imagining a man with a crown, perhaps sitting proudly on his tractor. But when I spent time watching real farmers at work, I realized the truth in that proverb isn’t about crowns or thrones. It’s about quiet power — the kind that doesn’t ask for recognition but keeps the world moving.
Farmers don’t live in the spotlight. Their days start before sunrise, often before the rest of the world even opens its eyes. You can see them walking to the fields with tools in hand, their steps firm and steady, as if they know a secret rhythm of life that others have forgotten.
