Were the Nazis Christian Homophobes? - Darrick Evenson

Photo on cover: Adolf Hitler and Ernst Roehm (circled in red) at a Nazi Party rally (about 1930).

    PREFACE: TO THE READER

During a political campaign in 1922, when the Nazi Party was not in power, not close to being in power, and doing  very bad in the poles, Hitler addressed a large crowd of German Christians and said I am a Christian. Liberal political propagandists use this quote to prove that Hitler and the Nazis were Christians that Christianity inspired the anti-Jewish, anti-Gay, anti-Communist, Anti-Gypsy Holocaust. Cased closed...right?

Wrong. Hitler lied. He lied to get votes. This book will reveal the truth about Nazi origins and the origin of their anti-Jewish and anti-Gay policies.

Within the Liberal and Jewish communities of the Anglozone (English-speaking world) in the 2020s, and before, and among the Academics and Hollywood crowd since at least the early 1970s, there is a general consensus that the Nazis were anti-Gay right-wing conservative Christian homophobes. Certainly, whenever conservatives or Christians (Traditional Catholics and Evangelical Protestants) voice opposition to the Liberal and Gay political and cultural agendas, thy are accused of being Nazis.  That title is thrown at them time and time again.  In September of 2025 the conservative Christian speaker and influencer Charlie Kirk was assassinated on the campus of Utah Valley University by a gay young man who believed that Kirk was a Nazi. Certainly, Kirk had been accused of being a Nazi hundreds of times in his debates on university campuses around the country.  But Kirk maintained he was not a Nazi but was simply a MAGA (pro-Trump) conservative and Bible-believing Christian.  Many other conservative and Christian influencers and commentators have been called Nazis by Liberals since about the early to mid 1970s.

Christians being Nazis (or the Nazis being Christian) is a serious accusation, one that has been used tens of thousands of times by the Liberal media, university professors, university students, and radical groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Is there any truth to that accusation?  If that accusation is true we need to know it, and if that accusation is false we need to know that.  If the accusation is false then tens of thousands of Liberal and Radicals who have accused  Christians of being Nazis need to apologize and say I’m sorry, I was wrong.

The belief that the Nazis were Right-Wing Christians is not only a popular belief among the Academics of the Anglozone (U.K., U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa), but also  among Liberal university students, among the Hollywood technocrats (actors, writers, directors, and producers), and also among the reconstructionist (agnostic), reformed (liberal), conservative, orthodox, and ultra-orthodox Jewish communities.  Is that accusation true or false? This book will try to answer that question from the evidence we find in history.

Christians are accused of being Nazis, and the Nazis are accused of being Christians.  Is that the truth or is it the most unjust accusation of all time? Let’s find out.

For the record, Darrick Evenson is pro-Jewish, pro-Israel, believes that the Holocaust really happened, is  vehemently anti-Nazi, and has a live and let live attitude towards others including those in the LeGeBeeTQia (Leh-geh-beet-kee-ah) Community.  This book is a culmination of thirty years of intensive research into the semi-secret origins and history of the Nazi Party. It contains facts: not political slogans. It was written with only the Truth in mind.: not political goals.  Enjoy your read!

    CHAPTER: The Gnostics

In the ancient world was a group of sects called the Gnostics (naus-tiks): from the Greek gnosis (no-sis) which means mystical knowledge. The Gnostics believed that Jehovah, the God of the Jews, was evil. They called him the Demi-Urge (Greek: semi craftsman): an evil entity that enslaves souls into matter.  They called him Yaldabaoth (abortion). The goal of the Gnostic was to free themselves from matter and to be born into the Plemora which was the Realm of Light. Some Gnostic sects were anti-sex: all sex was considered bad. Other Gnostic sex taught that only heterosexuality was evil, because it led to more spirits being imprisoned into physical bodies.  These Gnostic sects praised homosexuality since it did not lead to souls being trapped into physical bodies.  One Gnostic sect during the Middle Ages were the Bogomils (a Bulgarian term meaning God Lovers), but the Bogomils practiced sodomy a lot and this is where the English terms bugger and buggery come from (from Bulgar).

Another ancient Gnostic sect that taught that homosexuality was superior to heterosexuality were the Manichaeans: founded in 261 by a Persian man named Mani who was crucified by the king of Babylon for teaching people that having children was evil (enslaving more spirits to Yaldabaoth). Author Rictor Norton writes:

"Throughout its early development, the Christian Church was under constant threat by the religious teachings of Mani, born in Persia in AD 216. His system, now called Manichaeism, held that evil was as powerful as goodness, contrary to the Christian view that the God of goodness was all-powerful, and it acquired an immense number of believers, no doubt because common sense tells us that evil is indeed a power to be reckoned with in the real world. During the early Middle Ages cults of this religion spread throughout Egypt, Asia Minor, Byzantium, northern Italy, southern France, the Balkans and Bulgaria.

Of greatest importance to us is the fact that many of these Manichaean groups permitted homosexual intercourse. They not only tolerated homosexuality, but went so far as to advocate its superiority over heterosexuality, on the grounds that the latter enslaved humanity in a chain of procreation which bound us to the earth and hence to Evil." (Rictor Norton, A History of Homophobia, 4 Gay Heretics and Witches 15 April 2002, updated 18 February 2011 )

Some researchers and historians believe that the Gnostics, often persecuted by the Catholic Church for being heretics (false teachers), decided to form secret occultic societies in the Middle Ages: from the Latin occultus (hidden, secret, veiled). Some believe that the Manichaeans decided to change from within by infiltrating the various monastic orders including the order of warrior monks called the Order of the Temple which was founded in the year 1000 A.D. by Christian crusaders in the Holy Land. The purpose of the Templars was to protect Christian pilgrims and to fight heretics: especially the Muslims. At times the Order controlled most of Palestine, but they eventually lost it to the Saracens.

At one time the Templars were the most wealthy monkish order in all of Christendom. But all that changed when the King Phillip of France accused the Templars of Manichaeism and homosexual orgies. The Pope agreed, and the Order was disbanded with its leaders burned at the stake and most of its knights and serving brethren fleeing to Switzerland, or Germany, or Scotland and renting themselves out as mercenaries: fighting for the highest bidder.  Author Rictor Norton writes:

There is a great scholarly controversy over whether or not the Knights Templars actually were homosexual. It is impossible here to sum up the evidence for either side of the argument. I can only note the tendency in much recent scholarship to conclude that they were not cannibals etc., but that they were indeed heretics as defined by the Church, and that they did indeed engage in homosexual sex. Their initiation ceremony is well documented and has the ring of truth in spite of being extracted by torture. It involved such things as stripping oneself naked, kissing the high priest or leader on the mouth, anus and penis as a sign of fealty, and engaging in homosexual group sex as a symbol of brotherhood. Like the other heresies, they were theologically opposed to marriage and procreation, and taught that erotic tensions were better relieved with one's brothers than with women. (Norton, Ibid.)

Whether the Templars were a secret gay Manichaean confederacy, I don’t know. What I do know is that later gay men in Germany, especially masculine gay men, would look to the Templars as gay martyrs and heroes.

During the 1800s, numerous groups and cults were started by men and women who tried to revive the old Gnostic and Manichaean beliefs. One of those women was Helena P. Blatvatsky of Russia. As a beautiful young woman she married Count Blavatsky, a Russian nobleman, but she soon ran away and became a world traveler: traveling to India, Germany, France, England, and the United States. While in India she formed the Theosophical Society, and wrote many books on occultic themes. Among her associates was Charles Leadbeater: a British occultist who was a gay pederast and who caused a lot of scandal for the society due to his love of boys.  Another close disciple as Annie Besent who was a prolific writer and lecturer and is known today as the Mother of the New Age Movement.

The first Theosophical magazine was called Lucifer: which Blavatsky praised in her books. When she referred to Jehovah at all it was to insult him as ignorant and petty and evil.  Blavatsky’s books would go on to inspire various occult groups in Europe like Ariosophy, the Germanen Order, and the Thule Society. We will examine them more closely later.

One German monk who became inspired by the homoerotic tales of the Templars and Theosophy was an ex-Cistercian Monk named Adolf Jorg von Liebenfels.

CHAPTER:The Order of the New Templars

Above is the flag of the Order of the New Templars that was founded by a Butch-Gay (masculine homosexual) ex-Catholic monk named Adolf Jorg Lanz Von Liebenfels, in Germany in the year 1907.  The members of the ONT were masculine (butch) homosexual men who despised everything feminine.  They had a hierarchy of humans that looked like this:

    Eigene (Aryan masculine homosexual men)

    |

Untermenschen (Aryan straight men, straight women, Lesbian women)

    |

Farbigemenschen (all races except for Aryan/Germanic)

    |

    Urnen (effeminate homosexual men)

    |

Juden (Jews: the children of the Devil Jehovah)

The ONT inspired the first gay publication in Germany in 1909 called Eigene (ai-geh-neh) which means highest kind or Elite. The magazine declared  Nature has made the Eigene (masculine homosexual men) the most  masculine and therefore the most superior men. Nature created them to rule the lesser beings. They despised the Urnen (effeminate homosexual men or Urnings) viewing them as freaks and mistakes of Nature.  Jews were even lower than the Urnings (German: Urnen). Jews were the children of Jehovah, and Jehovah was Yaldabaoth: the evil semi-creator to the Gnostics and other occultic groups.  The American  Gnostic philosopher and Confederate general Albert Pike wrote:

The Masonic religion should be, by all of its initiates of the higher degrees, maintained  in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine. if Lucifer were not God, would Adonay (the God of the Christians) whose deeds prove his cruelty perfidy, and hatred of man, Babarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests calumniate him? (Morals and Dogma p.220)

Pike is also purported to have said this:

Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay (Jehovah) is also god. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods: darkness being necessary for light to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive. Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy, and the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in
