Although my tale may stretch the limits, it was rooted in the very real, quirky lives of my Greatgreat grandmother, my Great grandmother and my grandmother; three extraordinary women, and their animal companions.  A monkey, BeeBee, was often dressed in frilly dresses and went for rides in an old green Ford, sitting in her car seat, waving out the window at the unsuspecting and very surprised passengers in the cars that passed by.  Polly, the parrot, could mimic anything…from opera arias to the sound of a crying baby, the doorbell’s chime or the ringing of the telephone, often mimicking the voices of the three grandmas, causing
