The Secret of Truth - Star Craft
The Mysterious Chest
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Leo. Leo loved exploring the forest near his house. Every evening, after doing his homework, he would put on his boots, grab his flashlight (even though it was still daylight), and head out with his backpack full of curiosity.
One day, while walking through the trees, he heard a strange sound, as if something had fallen from the sky. Boom! Leo was a little scared, but also excited. He followed the sound carefully, pushing aside branches and leaves, until he found something he had never seen before.
It was a chest. A wooden chest with gilded decorations. It had a lock, but there was no key anywhere.
Leo approached slowly and touched it with his hands. The chest was smooth and cold, as if it had been waiting for someone for a long time.
Who left this here?
he asked aloud.
Suddenly, a small voice came from the chest. It was soft, like the wind.
This chest only opens with the magic word,
said the mysterious voice.
Leo's eyes widened. A talking magic chest!
What's the magic word?
he asked, his heart pounding.
I can't say it,
the voice said. Only you can discover it.
Leo thought. Could it be please
? Could it be thank you
? He tried many nice words.
—Friendship
... happiness
... magic
... abracadabra
...
But nothing. The chest didn't move.
Leo sat on the grass and thought for a long time. He closed his eyes. What word would be powerful enough to unlock something magical?
Then she remembered something. The day before, she had lied. She had broken a vase in the house and told her mom it had been the cat. Ever since then, she had felt sick inside. She knew it wasn't right to lie.
He opened his eyes suddenly.
—What if the magic word is...truth?
The chest shook.
Leo stood up, excited. He came closer and said loudly:
-TRUE!
CRACK! The chest opened with a bright sound, as if a thousand small bells were ringing at the same time.
Inside the chest there was no gold, no toys, no candy. There was a small note written on old paper.
Leo read it aloud:
—The truth is the most valuable treasure a child can have. Whoever always tells the truth will live without fear and with a clean heart.
Leo smiled. He understood that the chest wasn't there by chance. It was there to teach him something very important.
He carefully closed the chest, put it back in its place, and ran home. When he arrived, he found his mother and told her the truth about the vase.
—It was me, Mom. It wasn't the cat. I accidentally broke it and didn't tell you the truth. I'm sorry.
His mother looked at him in surprise. Then she hugged him tightly.
—Thank you for telling me the truth, Leo.
