About this ebook

Trouble just moved in next door, and he wants more than just a warm welcome...

Daisy

My smoldering hot neighbor is back after eighteen years.
A second chance? Not happening.
Not after he broke my heart and left without a glance back.
Now he's a Vegas real estate billionaire, standing on the ranch like he owns the place. Whatever.
I need one thing from him—just one night. Then he can pack his bags and get lost.
He's still the same arrogant, broody, too-sexy-for-his-own-good jerk.
And if he thinks I'm going to give him a baby just because he wants one?
He's out of his damn mind.

Levi

I just inherited a run-down ranch outside of Vegas.
Nobody wants it.
Except her.
That feisty, off-limits neighbor who's always been under my skin.
The one who used to reject me at every turn.
Now she's looking at me like she could devour me whole.
She says she only wants one night.
She's lying.
By this time tomorrow?
She'll be mine. For keeps.

Ah, the old, shitty ranch. I pull my Maserati SUV onto the dirt road at my late grandmother’s place and turn off the engine.

I’d rather be anywhere but here. My siblings and I hadn’t planned on inheriting this dump so soon. Nor had we planned on the bomb that was dropped on us—that we all needed to be married with children to receive a surprise inheritance of 5 billion dollars.

About 20 minutes south of the Las Vegas Strip, the Star Diamond Ranch community is a ghosty section of the valley with some horses, hay, and RVs thrown in.

It’s another world compared to the luxury that usually surrounds me.

I stare at the junk scattered throughout the front garden and debate whether to go in or leave it for another day.

No one even knew my grandmother had that kind of cash because she kept the ranch like an antique museum, full of shitty trinkets and memorabilia.

And now, thanks to this crazy old woman, all of us need to somehow snap our fingers together and produce children. Otherwise, we won’t inherit a dime of the 5 billion.

Grandmother is still trying to control us from the grave, it seems.

I blow out air. Settle down with a trophy wife and a couple of snotty kids? Never gonna happen.

Who has the time? As long as I have a steady cash flow coming in from my real estate properties around the city, I’m fine. I’ll buy a woman dinner and a diamond bracelet, but she’ll never get a ring out of me.

I step out of the car onto the gravel driveway and walk over to the mailbox before heading inside.

The gray metal box is full to the max. I pile the envelopes under one arm, walk back to the house, and step onto the wooden front porch.

As soon as I jiggle the front door key, the memories flood in—the family barbeques, the water gun fights with my siblings, and my first kiss with the neighbor girl.

The interior of the house looks the same, as if frozen in time. It’s just full of dust now.

I shuffle through the thick pile of envelopes and my hand lands on a piece of mail from the city government that says Urgent on the front. I open it and scan over the contents of the letter.

Approved water source required … septic tank removal needed … inspection.

I rub the back of my neck and open the next envelope. It’s from the homeowner’s association and it’s full of old notices—complaints about the peeling paint, the overgrown weeds on the property, the trash in the front of the yard, and the list goes on.

Another urgent envelope glares at me. It’s a letter about increasing property taxes.

I close my tired eyes. We’re looking at thousands for all these fines,
