Carolyn Madero graduated from the University of Tulsa, after which her work and marriage took her on a journey through Washington, DC, and several foreign countries. In 2008, while still living in Mexico (and by then a grandmother), she acknowledged an enduring interest in childrens literature and completed the online writing course offered through the Institute of Childrens Literature. She now lives in Connecticut. Boys, Bears, and Bubblegum is her first published book.
