- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was an interesting story. It could be hard to read at times because of the subject matter. It was hard to see how he got treated by his own family because his mother was an Indian slave. I don't know if I could have been as brave as he seemed to be most of his life. It was a very good story. I received a free copy of this book from bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
