    Introduction

If you are reading this you have probably experienced acne, keratosis pilaris (KP) or both and are looking for a cure.  I do not intend to give anyone false hope but after lengthy personal experience of these skin conditions I think that I have found a solution that could potentially clear up both acne and KP.  I cannot say whether this will work for you but it has been my cure.

This book is about my findings on acne and keratosis pillars based on my own experience of these conditions.  This book is primarily for people suffering from acne or keratosis pilaris but it may also be of relevance to anyone wanting to better understand these conditions or to help others.  Through this book, I hope to share some of the reasons I believe that acne and keratosis pilaris are strongly related skin conditions.

I had no intention of writing a book about skin diseases, my own experience having been painful, long and isolating.  I felt that I was fighting a losing battle as I kept looking for a cure when it seemed unlikely that I would find a cure for either of these conditions.  I was often told I was obsessive about my skin and that I should get over it.  I don’t believe it is possible to ignore skin problems that have such an adverse effect on your life yet have no known cause.  Perhaps I was too stubborn to give up but I just couldn’t accept that we knew all there was to know about acne and KP and that there would never be a cure for either.

    Is clear skin impossible?

As you have probably observed some people seem to eat any food and have no skin problems.  Why is it that some people can eat terrible diets yet have clear skin? I know I have spent many years pondering this question and similar ones.  What is so different about my skin that I have severe acne and keratosis pilaris and my friends all have nice skin? What causes these stubborn skin conditions?  For years I kept thinking that it can’t be impossible for me to have clear skin because I could see that many others had clear skin without any apparent effort.  I was not sure if it was possible but I decided I was not going to give up trying to achieve clear skin.

At some point my endless hours of research into my skin problems and my health seemed to combine and I gradually pieced together the symptoms I was experiencing and considered
