Chapter 2
A weakness
Deep inside, we knew there wasn't anything that could stop the desire for power. It was stronger than thoughts about Dominika, thoughts about Alex.
This time David entered his car on his own and drove towards his next goal and victim, demon Astaroth. Black clouds covered the clear sky; a few minutes later, he arrived in the terraced house where the Demon lived.
With one kick, he kicked out the doors of the house; Demon heard some noise.
That will be a post, my love...
Demon smiled.
I'll go get it, stay here!
His girlfriend, Alicia, replied.
You're so kind…
Astaroth smiled. David heard everything they said and kept waiting until Alicia came closer to him. She opened the door leading to the corridor. There wasn't any postman, but David with black eyes. She got scared and started to scream in the neighborhood. David didn't hesitate and fired from the shotgun he had in his arms. The woman flew away. Shells tore her young body, her blond hair reddened under the blood bath. Eyelids covered her blue eyes, and she died. That was brutal.
Astaroth heard everything. He realized there's no letter carrier, jumped from the sofa, and ran to the corridor. As he noticed his dead girlfriend, he shouted even more than the girl before. I was standing next to David, unseen, and it looked so funny. I didn't understand if the screaming would help something. Three shots from the shotgun and even Astaroth was dead on the floor, unable to stand up. Their blood colored the walls of the room and caused never-ending pride deep inside David's heart about his bravery.
He was just about to call the devils as he noticed the Demon is coming back up from the ground. The cells fell from his body and all his wounds healed.
You didn't expect that, did you?
The Demon smiled; his nature looks slowly disappeared. Clothes ripped themselves under huge, red, meaty muscles. His horns grew from the head, and he grew up to two and a half meters. Astaroth loudly screamed and raised his hands to the head. Demon kicked David as fast as he could. David flew from the door straight on the street.
Stunned, he was slowly standing up from the concrete road. Astaroth grabbed David's neck and lifted him to the air. Half choked, he threw him on the walls of the house. David marked the house with his figure in it and bounced back on the concrete road. Angry Astaroth kicked him straight to his head. David hit the wall again and fell to unconsciousness. Demon felt invincible because David kept looking, according to his discretion, helpless.
You thought you'd get me so easily?
David said and jumped from the ground facing the enormous creation of his father. The Demon screamed and hit David again. Young lord couldn't take his punch and flew through the window back to the house and landed on the living room table. Walls of the house shook under the steps of enormous Demon. David tried to stand up from the table. He grabbed a large TV and kept waiting on Astaroth. As the Demon walked in, David threw the TV on him. It just made him laugh.
Do you think that this will hurt me?
He said, and with all his power, he stopped the TV and threw it back on David. Something David didn't expect, the powerful Demon put into the throw knocked out David right on the sofa. You were so naive when you thought Ariel hasn't got any girlfriend. We have proof about all the murders you did, you little son of a bitch!
Demon added, grabbed David's head and hips, and threw him on the wall one more time. My advice circulated in his head, he tried to stay with them and freeze Demon, but all attempts twisted back against him.
He'll kill me. I'm unable to do anything, fucking hell!
David thought, and it just seemed like he already decided about his destiny. Although what happened, the never giving up warrior was still sleeping inside of him. He tried to stand up when the Demon wanted to make him fall asleep with his huge punch for forever.
David quickly recovered and covered his attempt and gave it all back to the Demon. To his surprise, the Demon didn't move from his place. David's life energy, strength, self-confidence from invincibility, what was flourishing in him from the times when he killed the first Demon suddenly disappeared. First, bigger and better opponent, and David wasn't sure what to do, he had a brain concussion, broken spinal cord at some points, and the pain he felt caused the loss of his concentration. His raising power was defeated suddenly by Demon that he thought he would fall as easy as everyone before him.
Now he was facing death. Helplessness won and clutched his nervous system. Last breath, he tried to get up from the ground while Demon stepped on his back. For the first time in his life, he was forced to beg for help. I've seen the kid dying and calling my name. My body was with Alex; we just had sex. Do you know the moments when you think that someone you developed to such a level can go now and all your plans can come true so quickly? I kept thinking if I should go and help or let David die. I've heard the voice of Satan inside my
