The Tao of Wow: Ancient Wisdom. Modern Success.
()
About this ebook
The Tao of Wow is a compendium of truths which, applied appropriately, is believed to create extraordinary success in any endeavor. Its origins coincide with the earliest known human writing in 3300 BC. It has experienced resurgences and rebirths, in various forms and identities, just prior to every major cultural, economic and industrial revolution in Africa, Asia, Europe and America. Despite major advancements in communication (ie. paper, the printing press, etc.) it has existed under the cloak of secrecy, and has defied attempts to maintain it in written form for the masses.... until now. Thanks to the Internet, this volume marks the first-ever, worldwide publication of the complete body of works which will forever be known as The Tao of Wow.

"Once upon a time, there was a Jamaican civil engineer living in New York City who hated his job. He followed his passion, started a sideline business publishing his own books, quit his job, escaped the rat race, ran off to a tropical island in the Pacific, and started a tourism business so he could give tours of the island to pretty girls every day! He now lives a nomadpreneur's dream life, while helping others do the same!" Read the long version at : http://waltgoodridge.com/walt/

PROLOGUE
WHAT IS THE TAO OF WOW TRILOGY?
Taoism can be described as mastering nature.
By mastering, we mean becoming nature, not conquering it. The Tao of Wow is believed by scholars to be the earliest known
work specifically designed to master and use the laws of human nature to attain rank and privilege within a society.
Wow has always existed. What we today refer to as the Wow Response
is considered to be a basic spontaneous reaction unique to all living things. It is the almost reflexive reaction to an idea, object or person which precedes one’s fascination with that idea, object or person. As the text entitled What Is The Wow Factor? (see Wow Factor) clearly explains, a Wow is needed prior to any action undertaken by a human being. The Wow Reaction is a basic component of survival of the fittest. It is the spark of emotion which precedes change, invention, innovation, art and even procreation. In short, Wow is what makes the world go around.
Control the world’s Wow, and you control the world!
HOW TO PRONOUNCE TAO
Tao is a Chinese word which, loosely translated, means way.
In
the English spelling, the initial character is an approximation of a
Chinese sound that does not have an exact English equivalent. The most accurate rendition would be a combination t
& d
sound, as in Tdhow.
Many pronounce it Dow
, as in Dow Jones
(ie., to rhyme with how
or now
).

KEY TO THE TAO OF WOW TRILOGY
1. Wow is the reaction or response of wonderment.
2. The Wow Factor is that thing that causes the Wow Reaction. It is based on an actual formula for the management of individual
assets, perception, exposure and response.
3. The Tao (Way) of Wow are the beliefs, understandings, and expectations that pave the way for the full utilization of the Wow Factor, and are the foundation for the practice of the Art of Wow.
4. The Art of Wow is the set of actions, strategies and tactics which create wonderment in the minds of people.
5. The Eternal Wow is the energy which we tap into in order to create and attract Wow into our lives. It has been referred to in various writings as the universal subconscious mind, the ether, the oversoul and God.
6. The Wow Master is the voice of divinely inspired thought that offers lessons in the form of rhyme-based poetry. If you were in conversation with a true Wow Master, he or she would answer your questions in this poetic, yet profound manner. When the Wow Master speaks, know that the lessons are coming from a higher level of consciousness to which we all have access.

What is the Wow Factor?

WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
Like many people, I’ve always been intrigued by success. I’m inspired by the rags-to-riches and setback-to-triumph stories of average individuals who have overcome great odds to become world leaders, business moguls and community role models. I’ve made it my life’s work to study these individuals, learn what makes them successful, and then share it with others.
In helping other people tap into their inner storehouse of passion, talent and wealth to achieve success, I’ve learned even more about what separates the winners from the also rans.
I’ve learned, for example, that the qualities winners exhibit--determination, perseverance, desire, positive mental attitude, and many other admirable personality traits--may belong to any individual, regardless of age, race, culture, gender, or religious conviction. I’ve also learned, sadly, that despite scores of manuscripts, studies and research into what makes successful people successful, that the majority of people on the planet will fail to achieve their full potential.
But, why should this be so? Why is it that despite the existence of hundreds of books on the subject of success that more people are not taking full advantage of mankind’s collected wisdom? Why are some people famous, wealthy, and seemingly better off than others? Why do two individuals from the same background head off in two entirely different directions in regard to their worldly success? Why do some people seem to find love, peace and happiness, while others experience nothing but fear, confusion and sadness? Why do some people elevate themselves to the tops of their games, while others wallow in mediocrity? I made it my mission to discover not only the answer to these questions, but more importantly, the solution. In other words, I wanted to offer the world the real secret to success.
So what is this secret? At first I thought it might simply be hard work. Perhaps it is upbringing. Perhaps it is the environment. Perhaps it is something in our genes which only certain people possess. Perhaps it is all of these things or none at all. Perhaps it is an ever-elusive set of random occurrences which separates those who achieve greatness from those who do not. In other words, maybe it’s just blind luck. Or, as I’ve often contemplated, perhaps there’s a specific day in early childhood on which we need to hear a specific word of encouragement. And, if that day passes without us hearing you can do it
, or you’re the greatest
, or I love you just because
, we become doomed to careen headlong down a path towards destitution and failure.
Hopefully, though, perhaps it has been due simply to a lack of understanding of what is really required to achieve success. Perhaps, despite all the books, seminars and courses, some kernel of wisdom or unique interpretation exists which has always escaped our notice. Perhaps there is something extra, some secret formula, if you will, that lies at the heart of all success. If indeed such a formula were to exist, it would have to apply to, and be effective in any area of human endeavor. It would have to be able to create success in business as well as romance, in one’s family life as well as in one’s career. And, further, it would have to work for anyone who applied it regardless of his or her education, ethnicity, geographic location, physical stature, or religion.
Well, I believe that such a formula does exist, and I call it The Wow Factor.
WHAT IS THE WOW FACTOR?
So what exactly is the Wow Factor?
Throughout history, people have attempted to isolate the key to success. This elusive secret ingredient has been referred to as many things. Many have called it talent. Others say it is passion. Some insist it is desire. Still others have offered that one’s USP (Unique Selling Proposition) is the key to success. Therefore, for the Wow Factor to be the real key to success, it must be something more than all of these, because there are many talented people who never achieve success. There are many people with desire who never take action. There are many people whose passions die with them unexpressed. And many entrepreneurs know their USP, but fail to market it effectively to achieve success.
We all would agree that individually, all the keys previously mentioned are important aspects of success. Therefore, if the Wow Factor is indeed the key to success, it must be a combination of all of these components plus something more. And indeed it is.
The Wow Factor is an intention. The Wow Factor is an action. The Wow Factor is a level of activity. The Wow Factor is an accomplishment. The Wow Factor is a recognition. The Wow Factor is a thing. Therefore, because it is all of these at the same time, there needs to be an all-encompassing definition.
Your Wow Factor, therefore, is "the goal-oriented creation, development and controlled exposure of the private and public perception of and response to your unique assets." And it is the most important component in any equation of success.
But,
