Introduction
Welcome to the beginner world of Wicca! People often think that Wicca only encompasses a group of people who practice Witchcraft. However, this is not at all the case. Witchcraft and Wicca are actually two separate things; you can follow the path of Witchcraft without becoming a Wiccan, and you can become a Wiccan without ever practicing magic. A Wiccan is someone who believes in the religion of Wicca who has knowledge of Pagans or follows their own paths provided by Wicca. People who follow the Wiccan religion go by one saying which is very important: Harm none, do what you will.
Basically, it states that if you are not harming anyone, then you are free to believe in whatever you would like and act as you please. It does not force you to follow certain religious books and it does not include any supposed rules for you to follow.
In this book, you will learn about Wicca, its traditions, and what they stand for. Also, you will learn how other sub religions
are involved, such as Paganism, and why Wicca is believed to be misunderstood. As you read through this book, you will begin to understand that Wicca is more than the myths you hear about witches. Although Wiccans practice witchcraft and spellcasting, they are not witches on broomsticks who fly around and make potions and spells to ruin other people’s lives.
There are many benefits to practicing or joining Wicca, but unlike most religions, Wicca does not recruit members. The purpose of this book is not to persuade you to join Wicca or dabble in Witchcraft; it simply will provide you with information and, in the end, you can do with it what you will. One of the greatest benefits to Wiccan traditions is that the choice is always yours. You can choose what you want to participate in, which gods and goddesses to call upon, and what holidays you want to celebrate
Wicca is all about teaching you how to allow yourself patience and self-care while being able to fully work on your spiritual and physical growth. With Wicca, you can practice meditation and learn how to be self-aware while also being aware of what is around you. You can recognize what is unhealthy and make decisions to change. Like Buddhism, Wicca helps you work solely on yourself and redefine your spiritual, mental, and physical being. Once you know your true self, you can develop further and will have the confidence to tackle whatever comes at you.
Once you finish reading or listening to this book, you should be able to fully understand the basics of Wicca, including information regarding the traditions and holidays and how Witchcraft is used, and you should have a deeper understanding about yourself and how to go about becoming a Wiccan. There are many forms of Wiccan traditions and also different kinds of witches to choose from. If you want to take the route of being a witch, it is important to understand yourself on a spiritual level and also have the basics of Wicca under your belt.
You can think about Witchcraft as being 100 percent natural in every aspect. In order to be successful with a spell, you must be connected spiritually to the Earth and all its elements. You will call upon your guides and have your gods represent you and help you overcome the many obstacles in life that you are struggling with.
The time is now. Your spiritual growth is always something you should focus on. Don’t be afraid of change, as you will understand in more depth if you take this path about how to be adaptable to the many changes Wicca can help you with. Whether you want to learn, grow, change certain aspects of your life, or become a full-fledged Wiccan, this book will help you decide and answer any and all questions you may have. It’s time to begin your journey through the world of Wicca.
Chapter One: What Is Wicca?
Many people believe that Wicca is a form of witchcraft, but this is an incorrect assumption. Witchcraft and Wicca are not the same things. Wicca is referred to as a modern religion that is based on witchcraft and witchery practices. You can be a witch
without being Wiccan. Wiccans are peaceful, harmonious, and balanced in the way they choose to live their lives, welcoming oneness with the universe and themselves. To be Wiccan means that you are choosing to be centered with Earth. It stems from the practices of the shamanic ancestors. Wiccans believe in living in balance with nature and sustaining their powers through worship and commitment to Earth. In other words, Wicca is classified as a Pagan religion, but not all Wiccans are Pagans. It is hard to define exactly what Wicca is, because the religion and the term are both extremely complex and continually evolving.
The Life Cycles of the Wiccan Religion
The idols of Wicca are the female and male essences known as gods and goddesses. They encompass all life forms found on Earth. They are responsible for all creations involved with the circle of life and death in the universe. The gods and goddesses are worshipped throughout the year, and Wiccans host festivals for this very purpose. In most cases, Gods are worshipped or called upon in a Sabbat, and they
