About this ebook

Have you ever seen an old, toothless cross-eyed snake. Well Penny has. She sees him every day, lazing in the sun. He dreams of chicken dinners and watches the busy, plump, little chooks clucking all around him, but he is just too slow and Penny knows that is way too fast for old Cedric....

The delightful words in The Goose is Loose are written with a smile and a hint of mischief, while the beautiful pictures bring to life the colourful, impish characters. A goose with a penchant for biting bums. A large, happy bull who thinks he is a dog, the dazzling duck who believes that he is the best and a kangaroo who fancies bread and chocolate biscuits, are just some of the quirky characters in this book.

The funny animals come to life in this collection of humorous poems about life on Poppy's farm. Designed to remind children and adults that poems can tell an interesting story and that rhyming can be fun.

Author

Sharon Whitecross

Sharon Whitecross lives in Queensland with her husband and adult family. Par of a large family herself, she started writing at an early age and realized that she was able to put words together in a sensitive and expressive way and create poetry that is easy to read and enjoy. She turned to writing inspirational poems after the sad death of her mother and this collection is born from her desire to comfort other people in their times of sadness. Sharon's love of words and their healing energy will hopefully be enjoyed by many who read her poems.
