0. Introductory Comments

Welcome again today. Mary and I, are going to be talking about a lot of questions on personal relationships; and by this kind of relationship, in this session, we’re talking primarily about the relationships relating to a sexual relationship - and so, de facto partnership, marriage, all of those kinds of relationships we're going to be covering in this section.

We find that we get asked a lot of questions about people's personal relationships. Now, not all the time are people very sincere about asking their questions, because quite frequently, people come to us, just one person of a couple comes to us, and asks us questions about their relationship and we find it's very, very hard to give one person answers about their relationship when we have not seen the relationship itself and how it works together, and also, quite frequently, the person asking the question is falsifying the information about their relationship to us in order to get a specific answer.

So, what we're going to do is break this series up into a number of different sections: the first section is a section that's going to be dealing primarily with the right way to handle a relationship from God's perspective and in that regard we'll give examples, but not specific answers to individual questions that have been asked of us.

From the second session onwards, we'll be giving more generalized answers and specific answers to couples that have written in their questions, or people that have written in their questions. We find that most people are not sincere in the way they look at themselves in a relationship: they are often very, very focused on the way they see other people, or their partner, but they are not looking at their own faults in a relationship and this is something that we're going to discuss a lot about today.

So we'd like to invite you to be involved in our discussions. Mary is going to be with us today in the discussion, and asking the questions and having some discussions together and we hope you enjoy this session about personal relationships. And hopefully it does help your own personal relationship with your partner or your marriage partner.

So, we'll see how we go today with answering a lot of these kinds of general questions, and then on future sessions, we hope to answer specific questions that people have emailed in to us on the FAQ channel.
