The human psyche, per se, is very fickle in nature. The biggest hurdles people face in their lives, is the making of their own thinking. One may call it their attitude towards life, or call it circumstances. The fact remains that they live mediocre lives. Attitudes, circumstances, mediocrity are the by-product of one’s own thoughts. Yet, people don’t wish to acknowledge their responsibility towards their thoughts and their circumstances.Responsible living is a product of responsible thinking. Responsible thinking is a way of life. Our thoughts, not only affect us, they affect our near and dear ones as well as our society. The vision of Ashish is to reach out to as many people in the world and make them look inwards and realize this responsibility – the responsibility of proper thinking. There is a phrase – ‘if wishes were horses, beggars would ride them’. Aptly true. Just wishing and imagining do not attract experiences or create magic. To manifest and materialize visions, one needs to understand the science behind manifesting.Backed with 15 years of research, Ashish brings forth the ‘Principles of Manifesting Thoughts’ – intertwining spiritual and metaphysical laws of life; which are simple to understand, yet extremely deep in their bearing. These Principles guide and make people take responsibility towards their own thoughts and actions, in every sphere of life, to ensure proper and responsible living. They help in opening up the vision of seeing things as they are from all angles. They teach discernment.Ashish takes this a step further, by amalgamating the ‘Principles of Manifesting Thoughts’ to various professional activities of life. He writes on various topics about life situations as well as corporate and professional life factors, creating a synergy and a common platform, for permanent concretizing in thoughts and therefore beautiful lives. Once the individual’s personal wavelength is in tandem with these Principles, he or she begins to not only live realized and meaningful personal lives, he or she begins to manifest the same in their professions as well. That is real empowerment and responsible living, which Ashish wishes to concretize in as many people as possible. It is with this vision in mind that Ashish wishes this knowledge to reach across the globe, along with his commitment to be there for guidance to his readers as well as students of his workshops, throughout life.

It's very rare that I lookup "Review text area" to leave review when I read a book, but I could not go without leaving a review for this book. I already know the Law of Attraction from many books that I read but I think this book is very well written. The explanation is down to earth, so that everybody can understand. And it's not just theory and words, the book is very practical. It explains how the Law expresses in many situations of life (spirituality, health, properity, wealth, success). And above all, I really appreciate the exercises of meditation in chapter 6.
I cannot but thanks Mr Ashish Mehta. If he could have it in French, it could be very beneficial to the French speakers (as I AM).

Manifesting Thoughts Effortlessly - Ashish Mehta

Chapter 1

Preface – My story

Whenever I look back upon my life to see what experiences I have learnt or not learnt, I realize that there is a story evolving around me too, like every other individual in this world. There are many experiences which have naturally left me wiser and there were quite a few, which bewildered me. To some I had very valid explanations, to some I didn’t. To the one’s I didn’t have an answer to, I would stare blankly at.

I was born to a spiritually rich mother and a father who wouldn’t acknowledge religion much but secretly respected it through his deeds. The seeds were sown very early in my life, of acknowledging so many unexplained things happening around our lives, that it carved a thirst in me, for exploring the unknown.

About my mother, she was highly educated, very spiritual in nature and God-fearing. Her fears used to take extreme proportions, now that I look back in time. The two things I remember her repeating oft, while I was growing up – i) She dreaded being a widow. As per the Hindu custom, she wanted to die a ‘suhaagan’ (married woman whose husband is alive), and ii) she didn’t want to die of a ‘dirty’ disease (in those times Tuberculosis and Cancer were the feared diseases). She also had a secret dream. The dream of writing.

I remember being an extremely skinny kid who used to get bullied around. I equated fat people to being strong.

There stays a neighbor, even today, whom I used to admire for his personality. For a teenager, it is easy to idolize bigger guys with strong personalities. I idolized him.

We were a small family – my father, my mother and I. All of our extended family was staying in far off cities. There were some strained relationships that I saw while growing up, amongst the elders. I used to feel bad about it. Being the only child, I missed my cousins. I used to feel so alone, I wished that when I have kids, I must have at least two, so that they would never be alone while growing up.

Ever since being young, in spite of not having a natural source of funds (my father was in service with a multinational organization), I wanted to be self employed so that I wouldn’t have to take orders from anyone. But somehow I dreaded that if there was no one to fund me or guide me, whether I would make it? I was in constant search for a mentor.

I remember having tried my hand at writing poetry when I was seventeen. My close friends appreciated it, but somehow that talent remained latent. Another feature about my friends was to keep their naughty deeds hidden from me. They tell me now, that they were scared of being reprimanded by me. They say I was too much of a perfectionist to be able to enjoy their naughtiness, but they felt secure when with me and looked up for advice.

Each of the above events or situations in my life has been taken as an example to explain how the Law of Attraction actually works in our lives.

My mother did write a book and copies of the same are still in my private collection. She fulfilled this aspiration of writing. Her fears too came true, she died a widow. And yes, she did die of a dreaded ‘dirty’ disease – cancer of the intestine. She attracted all these experiences to herself.

The seeds of knowing the unknown made me study under various Gurus and traditions and introduced me to the power of meditation in looking for answers to the questions of this world and beyond. I attracted the teachings or the Gurus attracted the student is a subject which can be debated.

Equating fat boys with being the powerful, in two to three years my body was transformed to 90 kilograms by the time I was 13 years old. I didn’t know how it happened. Some blamed it on an appendicitis surgical intervention I had, some to genes, some to having bloomed late… No one had an authentic answer. I attracted the weight to myself.

Yes, my personality is to a very large extent like my neighbor’s whom I used to secretly look up to. On reflecting backwards, I realize I look, talk and walk a lot like him too. What attraction!

My extended family, my cousins whom I missed so much during my growing years,- we came back together and in spite of still staying in far off cities due to professional reasons, the undercurrent of tension is transformed to a highly visible and strong love and bonding. And yes, I do have two kids. And not a moment is lonely between the two.

When I passed graduation, I attracted a business along with a guide and mentor, and which didn’t take much of capital to begin. Since then I have expanded to other businesses too and relish the feeling that only entrepreneurship can bring.

The poet in me was basically the creative aspect. I also thoroughly enjoyed myself working on advertisement copies, although that was not my main job in my advertising venture. This book is, on a different level though. Creativity pulls strongly.

My friends falling back on advice made me realize how strongly the mentor in me wanted to help and guide and be along with people who look up to me. That is the reason I have committed that students of my training programs can be in touch with me throughout life for further guidance. A big commitment, huge responsibility and large amount of work. I attracted this to me too.

My purpose of writing this book is to share with you, answers to so many questions that I have found in my life and which are constantly unfolding every day. Yet there are so many of my fellow beings who are still searching in the dark. The idea is to shed some light on the way and also to be able to guide you to attract so many things in your lives which bring in happiness, responsibly and correctly.

One Promise we shall make to our Own selves First of all:

To Think only of the Best

To Work only for the Best

To Expect only the Best

It is based in our thoughts and is made up of our thoughts."

~ Buddha

To create the future is easier"

~ Grand Master Choa Kok Sui -Modern Founder of Arhatic Yoga & Pranic Healing

Chapter 2

Thought Management. As simply understood.

Our personalities and lives are the by-products of our thoughts. Knowingly or unknowingly, we think our lives into existence. Our waking life is filled with thoughts – productive thoughts, unproductive thoughts, relevant thoughts, irrelevant thoughts, referred thoughts, inspired thoughts, happy thoughts, sad thoughts… The worrisome part is that we use thoughts without any active control over them and in the process harm our own selves and waste a huge amount of time and energy in ‘mis-thinking’ them.

The surprising part is that the best of brains in the world have used only a portion of their brains, a major part remaining unused or unutilized. The average person uses even less, so imagine the limitless possibilities for our brains.

Let us take an example of how we use thoughts to our benefit. Till a person is gainfully employed, i.e. before retirement from work, his life is full of activity, his emotions are regulated, body is healthy, the mind is active and everything is as ‘normal’ as it should be. However in the time after retirement, if he sits back at home, you would see that his health deteriorates, he is irritable in his approach to others (emotionally unstable), or he becomes mentally weak. On the other hand, professionals such as lawyers, doctors, engineers, consultants or even politicians who have active mental lives, live healthily till a ripe old age. People, who actively use their brains, continue to remain active in life for a longer time.

The above example shows that an active mind is most important for a healthy life. And what does the mind produce? It produces Thoughts. Our experiences in life
