Born and raised in Lokeren, Belgium, she has a scientific background and holds a Master's degree from the University of Ghent. During her career, she has worked as a programmer and consultant in the ICT sector. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and lover of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett and Robin Hobb, among others. After retirement, she discovered her passion for writing and began creating her own stories.
