He went to Tulane University for two years in premed and then entered medical school as the youngest in his class. He graduated in the top 10% of his class at 23 years old. He practiced Cardiology for 40 years and is now, actively, doing Bariatric (Weight Loss) medicine.
His interest in genetics began when his first son was born without arms. His interest in writing occurred when he noticed that "The Last Angry Man" by Gerald Green was dedicated to Samuel Greenberg, M.D, (1886 to 1952)- no relationship.
