Over the years, accumulating traumas deepened her mental health challenges, culminating in an eating disorder that finally led her to seek proper treatment. Through months of therapy, Ella confronted 35 years of pain, learning that trauma doesn't define a person—it can be a catalyst for growth. She discovered that the struggles she thought had broken her were life's lessons, shaping her into the best version of herself.
Today, Ella finds strength in her supportive husband and three children, who are her proudest accomplishments. While recovery is never linear, her family is her greatest gift. She dedicates herself to being a voice for the unheard and hopes readers of her memoir find inspiration and connection in her story.
Ella has created a free online support group for individuals healing from eating disorders or supporting someone who is. This safe space allows participants to share, listen, and feel seen—free of judgment, diagnoses, or pressure. Ella also hosts galas across the NY/NJ area to raise funds for mental health non-profits. Her mission is to bring hope and support to those in need, one step at a time.view less
