Got his Green Card in '62 and became a successful comic with two albums, "It's Tough To Be White" and "I Met A Man I Didn't Like!' He became LA's most popular Talk Show Host beginning in 1970 with KABC's 'AM'.. winning his first of five Emmys, the only performer to win for both News & Entertainment. He made his name interviewing controversial anti-war guests like Mohammed Ali, Jane Fonda, and Cesar Chavez ... then fired for booking New Orlean's DA Jim Garrison to talk about JFK's assassination.He was the first to review movies on the News, five years at KNBC, ten at LA Magazine. The first to put Redd Foxx on TV, and was Frank Sinatra's private writer for four years. In 1979 he was dubbed "The Godfather Of Reality TV" as creator, Producer and Co-Host of 'Real Reople' the most watched weekly show in history. His first documentary "The Garrison Tapes" won The San Sebastian Film Awards in 1992, and his second definitive film in 2017 on JFK's death and Garrison's investigation and the birth and purpose of fake news is still a runaway hit on Amazon Direct.
