She began swimming at the age of 6 and quickly rose to State Champion by the age of 8. Most of her early life was spent in the pool striving for excellence, studying hard in school, and working toward a college scholarship. In 1982, Marian’s dream of earning that college scholarship became a reality. Despite her outward confidence and gregarious personality, however, Marian struggled with her value as a woman and somehow developed a tendency to sell herself short, especially in relationships with men. In those dark times, instead of calling on her upbringing of faith and looking to God for the answers to her most sought after questions, Marian’s gullibility and poor decisions left her life spiraling out of control and nearly shattered her once happy, fairy-tale life. At Marian’s lowest point, with only 19Cents to her name, she questioned how she would ever be able to raise her 3 children in a happy and positive environment. Through sheer determination and the grace of God, Marian finally realized the root of her problem and began the long journey of rediscovering her unshakable spirit that had made her such a great champion in her youth. Marian currently resides with her 3 beautiful children in Georgia. With a newfound sense of freedom and vitality, today Marian is living her dream as a Certified Personal Trainer in her own fitness facility just North of Atlanta and through her Online Consulting Business. Marian coaches and inspires countless women, all over the country, in the areas of weight training, nutrition, positive attitude, and goal setting with the specific purpose to help others recapture their inner strength, confidence, and to live their best life.
