Kids thought it was funny, and the parents thought it was even funnier. Super cute, but veeery short for storytime. A kid actually asked, "Is that it??"

This charming story about a dinosaur who keeps messing up but his mother still loves him is excellent for young readers to learn expression, prediction, and sequence of events. The big idea that love covers all is a wonderful life lesson to teach young children.

This is a very cute illustration book that goes through a dinosaur misbehaving over and over. Even though he keeps getting in trouble and being disrespectful, his parents remind him over and over again how they love him always, regardless of what he does. This is a great book for the younger years to explain that people make mistakes and get in trouble, but we still love them anyways.

This fun, modern fantasy book tells the story of how a dinosaur can still be loved no matter what he does. Whether he flooded the kitchen or kept kicking his parents seat in the car, his parents still love him. The dinosaur always would do something right to make up for the wrong. He would clean up his messes or stay close to his mom in the store. His parents repeatedly told him how much they loved him.

I would use this book to teach a sequence of events and tell what each dinosaur did. I would also, encourage my students to predict what would happen next in the book. This book provides many opportunities for students to read with expression.( Especially the page the dinosaur makes a mess at dinner).

This is another book by Jane Yolen that describes situations that young children might find themselves in, wondering if they are loved or not, and can relate to easily. This story is told through the eyes of dinosaurs, who, even when they are misbehaving, know that they are loved. This would be a great book to teach manners, good behavior, respect, and also touches on the themes of love and acceptance, so would be helpful in any classroom or home setting, whether for read aloud or to encourage young readers to take up a book independently. There is just enough repetition to encourage participation if read aloud and to foster confidence when reading independently. The illustrations are colorful and detailed as well, and add humor to this already silly tale.

This book is full of beautiful pictures and shows a variety of of different dinosaurs. This book was just very basic and had simple sentences. I think that the story was cute and children would appeal to it if they were into dinosaurs.

Clearly, Yolen & Teague can spin a fab dino yarn, but especially great are the tiny dinosaur names inserted into the illustrations. Kids love a hint of nonfiction in their picture books --- don't we all? It's a good thing.
