Wow, I could not stop listening to this audiobook . I really like the fact that he did not pressure the reader that anyone religion is the true one and that the spiritual realm goes way beyond one certain religion
It’s probably a good thing that the monastery rejected him in his early life , because it forced the Doctor to go his own path. That’s what monks probably miss out on. Makes me think of the quote from a Eskimo shaman in one of Joseph Campbell s book (only through pain can one see the true meaning of life). And the Buddha that (love is the affirmation of the pain).
