About this audiobook
From their earliest days, Bibi and his close-knit brothers, Yoni and Iddo, were instilled with purpose. Born in the wake of the Holocaust at the dawn of Israel’s independence and raised in a family with a prominent Zionist history, they understood that the Jewish state was a hard-won and still precarious gift. All three studied in American high schools—where they learned to appreciate the United States—before returning to their cherished homeland.
The brothers joined an elite special forces outfit of the Israeli Defense Forces known as “the Unit.” At twenty-two, Bibi was wounded while leading his team in the rescue of hostages from a hijacked plane. Four years later, in 1976, Yoni was killed in Entebbe, Uganda, while leading his men in one of the most daring hostage-rescue missions in modern times. Yoni became a legend; Bibi felt he would never recover from his grief. Yet, inspired by Yoni’s legacy and guided by the wisdom of his visionary historian father, Bibi thrust himself into the international struggle against terrorism, ultimately becoming the longest-serving prime minister in Israel’s history—an honor he further cemented by winning reelection in 2022.
In this memoir Bibi weaves together his gripping personal story with the dramatic history of Israel and the Jewish people. Through a host of vivid anecdotes, he narrates his own evolution from soldier to statesman, while providing a unique perspective on leadership, the fraught geopolitics of the Middle East, and his successful efforts to liberate Israel’s economy, which helped turn it into a global powerhouse of technological innovation.
Netanyahu gives colorful, detailed, and revealing accounts of his often turbulent relationships and negotiations with Presidents Clinton, Obama, and Trump. With eye-opening candor, he delves into the back channels of high diplomacy—including his struggle against the radical forces that threaten Israel and the world at large, and the decisive events that led to Israel’s groundbreaking 2020 peace agreements with four Arab states.
Offering an unflinching account of a life, a family, and a nation, Netanyahu writes from the heart and embraces controversy head-on. Steely and funny, high-tempo and full of verve, this autobiography will stand as a defining testament to the value of political conviction and personal courage.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well wrtten, super informative, loved hearing the story behind story I have heard through the years via the news in the press.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A rollicking ride into the life and times of Bibi and his vision for Israel. Although a few questions were left unanswered as to the deliberate cruelty of IDF, for example the Israeli air force shooting 4 boys playing in the beach in front of the international press, on the whole gives a perspective of Israel to others not very familiar or friendly to it.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5He will go down in history as a blood thirsty notorious child killer and war monger. For all who care, Bibi’s life is worth reading only as a lesson on what you NEVER want to be become. There’s no dignity in lauding a war criminal. Bibi is the Hitler of our time. Ironic, yes, yet true too.
PS: my rating is 0 ⭐️ - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very Interesting perspective on Israel! and a lot more - can definitely recommend ; )
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved that it was read by Bibi. His life is truly amazing. A good measuring stick if someone is making the right and just decisions for their nation is the amount of opposition they receive from the Left and he is truly hated by them. Sounds like another leader I’ve read about somewhere ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Hard-to-put-down book! A solid lesson in jewish history & world politics. And everything in between- from development economics 101, to military warfare and interspersed with warm family tales!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am grateful for the audio version of this book. It accompanied me on many walks as I learned much of the Bibi/Israel history. I cannot wait his next book as in October 2023 Israel once again fights Hamas for the right of its very existence. Bibi has been right all along. Iran is an enemy to the entire world as it supports terrorist organizations that declare to wipe out God’s Chosen People the Jews and will seek to destroy the West as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I disagree even more with Bibi now but truly enjoyed his incredible life through this excellent book! I how he retires from public life and writes many more.

I am not Jewish but for reasons Unknown to me I have always been impressed and grateful that Benjamin Netanyahu was Prime Minister of Israel. After reading this wonderful book I now know why. The world would be better off if we had more amazing people like him in our world and in power! A must read for anyone who cares about our children and grandchildren and the direction our World is headed.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Although not Jewish or Israeli, I have an unceasing driving interest in, and love for, anything pertaining to Israel.
Thus their leadership is high on my agenda, and I found the whole book incredibly inciteful and packed full of really interesting facts.
It is so well written that even though at times is really detailed, it is never boring.
I’ve always been a BIbi supporter and realized there was a vendetta against him, but had no idea as to the extent of it.
I am even more supportive now having read this epic account and I’m incredibly glad he has won the latest election.
May God continue to give you strength courage and wisdom as you lead Gods people in these incredibly difficult times.
I continue to pray for you and your family.
May God truly surround and Bless you as you step up to take up your God given calling. Israel is truly fortunate to have you at the helm!2 people found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I especially liked the part about his brother. I think it's fair to say that Yonatan Netanyahu was a true hero and a national treasure in Israel.
He was chosen to lead the mission to rescue hostages when Palestinian and German terrorists hijacked an Air France plane and landed it in Entebbe, Uganda.
Great example of leadership.
