I have listened this book more then eight times an d I mean cover to cover some nights I was even listening the book and fell asleep while listening it really is an interesting book to read or listen and it is relatable and humorous a lot of acts and I love the part where Maya said “ now I’m mad that she’s mad that I’m mad!!! It is a book full of comedy and drama... I surely recommend this book for any GIRLS from well about let me say the age from 9 — well about, well it depends even a grown up could listen. I say nine, because I was nine when stuff like that happened to me at that age but it still went on until about 5th and 6 grade...

Jaime and Maya’s friendship has become strained and neither girl knows what to do to bridge the gap. Jaime has felt the tide turn against her since Celia began dropping comments about Jaime’s clothing, etc. Maya feels like a celebrity being in Celia’s presence and she craves any light Celia sheds on her. But she is uncomfortable when Celia gets her to do the dirty work of cutting Jaime out of the friendship group. It all comes to a head on the last day of school. The alternating perspectives, Jaime mainly in prose and Maya in comics, a good way to show what each girl is feeling and dealing with during the estrangement. The self-absorption of teens is portrayed genuinely, especially Maya.
