Thrower's in New York for a personal situation, but soon discovers he'd rather be just about anywhere else. Thankfully for him, a job comes calling. But not just any job. This might be the biggest one he's ever had. Protecting the President of Chile.   President Carla Suaza is dealing with an imminent threat, though no one is sure whether it's coming from inside or outside her own administration. Nobody can be trusted. That's where Thrower comes in. He's to keep her safe until the threat is identified and eliminated… at any cost.

Thrower takes on the case of a man who swears he's being followed. The bodyguard quickly discovers the man isn't lying. But what are they following him for? And can Thrower's newest client be trusted? After several encounters with the people chasing his client, Thrower realizes something is off. But what? Thrower gets a little help from some friends, but how many people will get killed before he figures out what this is really all about?

While attending a charity event, Thrower is cornered into helping actress Rita Hanning, who is dealing with several threats. After agreeing to become her bodyguard, Thrower is continually peppered with kidnapping attempts on Hanning, and is under what feels like an almost-constant and never-ending danger. But are these the attempts of a deranged fan, or the calculated work of someone much, much closer to her?

Thrower is hired by super wealthy businessman Thomas Sinclair, who's been receiving death threats. And it doesn't take Thrower long to use his skills to thwart off an attack. While Sinclair assumes the threats are because of some of his business interests, Thrower believes it may actually be due to a much deeper connection. One that may indicate someone in Sinclair's inner circle might be involved. His wife, his assistant, everyone is a suspect in Thrower's mind. But no matter where the evidence leads, Thrower will make sure his client is protected at all costs.
