Chapter One

Two days before Lil Richie’s merger of the Real World and the Storybook World, Lord Bear sat on his throne within his kingdom on Jupiter’s 17th moon. General Heather Tison requested an audience with Lord Bear. Lord Bear agreed to the appointment. General Tison stated with urgency, Lord Bear! I found him! He is in the recovery room I created. Lord Bear smiled as he replied, Good, take me there. General Tison led Lord Bear to the newly created room.

Upon entering the room, Lord Bear saw a blue barrier. Inside the blue barrier was a small black orb of energy. Lord Bear asked, How long before he returns? General Tison answered, A few days and I will have him back. His zanbato Mimi is feeding energy into the timber axe and speeding up the process. General Tison turned her full attention to her experiment as Lord Bear was called into the castle’s corridor. A hooded figure moved quickly down the corridor towards Lord Bear. The hooded figure seemed as if he half existed within the world. The hooded figure stopped moving in front of Lord Bear while speaking, Lord Bear, I have the reports you asked for. Lord Bear continued, Well go on. Tell me, how everything is going. The hooded figure reported, All preparations are good. Ms. Jonas has taken Tracy to Xelha to become an arc. You pet is growing strong. NaTavis is eliminating the resistance. There is only one problem. That time lord Ron is fixing the paradoxes that you set into motion. Lord Bear interrupted, He is nothing! The hooded figure whimpered, Forgive me lord, but he is making quite an impact out there. Lord Bear’s face filled with quiet fury as the hooded figure turned away from Bear’s gaze.

At that moment, a golden invitation emerged. Lord Bear looked at the hooded figure saying, I will be back. This invitation is here for me. Then Lord Bear turned to the invitation saying, When you post my name for battle, leave my lord status out of it. I want my competition to see me as their equal. The golden invitation agreed to Lord Bear’s terms as they both disappeared. General Tison watched the hooded figure vanish down the long corridor as she returned to her experiment.

Back in the present-day storybook world, up in space, aboard the Gate Crasher. The Gate Crasher spoke, Mission Mode Engage. Carol, Shawneita, and Angie reported to the bridge. Carol asked, Gate Crasher, what is the mission? The Gate Crasher responded, Search new worlds. Shawneita’s face formed a half smile as she replied, Damn. That don’t tell us shit. Shawneita, Angie, and Carol made their way to the Gate Crasher’s shuttle bay. The shuttle bay doors opened revealing a small unimpressive shuttlecraft. Angie asked, Is this it?

(This is your all-new narrator speaking. Just a quick recap for you. Shawneita is the Arc of Mother Nature. Angie is the Phoenix of Adventure. And, oh yeah, Carol, well she was the Arc of Chaos Theory, but she lost her upgrade and returned to being the Phoenix of Time Forgotten.)

As the ladies entered the shuttlecraft, Shawneita heard Carol’s voice in the distance saying, Wake up. Wake up. Shawneita opened her eyes asking, What happened? I have such a headache. Carol answered, Apparently, you’re afraid of heights. You passed out when you saw that we were in deep space. Shawneita replied, All this time I thought we were in a theme park. This was supposed to be a stupid, live-action fantasy game. Now you’re telling me that we’re really in space. Carol answered, Yep, we are on our way to Jihan’s location. Shawneita, you have been asleep for almost sixteen hours. Angie and I have had time to explore the shuttlecraft. You’ll never believe what we found.

Shawneita asked, What have you found? Angie replied, This shuttlecraft only has one room. Apparently, the shuttlecraft will grow and adapt to its crew. First, we must choose a name. Then we choose a job to perform while we are on board. Once that’s done, then the shuttlecraft can perform more actions. The shuttlecraft asked in a female toned voice, What shall be my name? Shawneita, Angie, and Carol were spooked by the shuttlecraft’s voice. They all looked at each other with no answers to the shuttlecraft’s question.

A massive shockwave cascaded throughout the Brayden Complex. The shockwave half merged the Brayden Complex and its surrounding area of space with the Real World. Harrison found himself running a drug cartel, when a golden invitation transported him away. Marie suddenly found herself locked in a room at the Pentagon. When a golden invitation emerged, Marie said, Yes! Get me out of here. Several cameras zoomed in on Marie’s disappearance. Evelyn landed on the side streets of London, underneath Big Ben. As Evelyn got her bearings, she looked up to see the massive clock tower. Evelyn uttered, Amazing. A golden invitation transported her away a moment later.

All four fighters landed in a massive salt marsh a few minutes later. (A Salt Marsh is an open field with a small river running through it that produces a prominent level of salt.)

Battle 09

Bear (Lord of the 6th Race) & Evelyn Armenta (Sailor Gallifrey)

Verses

Harrison (Phoenix of Drugs) & Marie Woods (Arc of 1313)

Harrison thought, Damn! I would have to fight now. That deal was worth twenty million. All four fighters watched as their names appeared in the sky above them. Bear figured the Armenta name was of Spanish descent as he walked over to Evelyn. Bear said, I guess you are my partner. Marie looked at Harrison and thought, He’s cute. For a white boy. Harrison pulled his scanner out and activated a full scan mode. Bear noticed that Harrison wasn’t paying any attention. Bear moved one finger that blasted out a pulse of energy. Harrison’s eyes closed immediately as he dropped his scanner.

Evelyn and Marie were shocked when Bear walked over and French kissed Harrison. Harrison felt like choking as he opened his eyes. Harrison struggled as he pushed the bearded hairy man off him. Harrison yelled, What the fuck! Naval Blue Wrist Band Invoke Super Speed. You’re dead man! Harrison’s charged Bear out of blind fury. Bear side stepped Harrison’s charge easily. Harrison charged again as Bear stuck his leg out and tripped him. Harrison hit and bounced hard several times off the ground before he came to a stop in the extremely salty river water.

Marie ran over to Harrison and reached forward, grabbing his hand while saying, Calm down. He is just trying to get under your skin. Why are you charging him like a brute? You looked smarter than that. Bear mocked Harrison as he laughed saying, This is going to be easy. As Harrison stepped out of the river, he noticed a clump of salt had formed on a pile on his left arm. Harrison brushed the salt clump off. Harrison clenched his fists together when he felt the immediate burn. Evelyn said, So the special ability for the Salt Marsh is that the salt can burn you no matter how you come in contact with it. Bear whispered to Evelyn, Now we know what to avoid. We can win this.

Marie felt a new power awakening inside of her. Marie brought her hands together as a laptop emerged in the air behind her. Marie turned around just in time to see her laptop fall into the river water. Marie dove into the river and retrieved her laptop. Marie complained as she climbed back onto dry land, Water and salt are going to seriously damage my laptop. As Marie opened and looked at her laptop, she found that the screen was blue. Marie sat down and frantically pressed random buttons in an attempt to repair her laptop. Harrison grunted, Great! I take it, as long as your laptop is down, your powers don’t work. I got this. I will hold them off while you fix your laptop. Naval Blue Wrist Band Invoke Super Speed. Harrison raced towards Evelyn and Bear.

Harrison ran faster and faster around Evelyn and Bear until he created a cyclone, trapping them in place. The cyclone lifted Bear and Evelyn up as they were thrown around and around at high speeds. Grains of salt from the salt marsh blasted Evelyn and Bear, flash burning them across several areas of their bodies. Evelyn said, I’ve got to transform, as she pulled out her transformation pen. Evelyn screamed, Gallifrey Planet…. The cyclone forced the transformation pen out of Evelyn’s hand.

Marie finished waving her laptop back and forth. Most of the water was drained out as Marie said, I have to logout. I have to find my mama and George. Marie watched as the laptop began to glow and crackle with energy. Marie took a sigh of relief as her laptop exploded. The explosion suspended the cyclone as all four fighters were launched in separate directions. Minutes later, everybody started coming to. Bear looked around to see nothing but desert for miles. Harrison and Evelyn were next to wake up. Evelyn began searching the area for her transformation pen. Marie woke up a moment later stating, This is new. The four combatants looked at each other. Harrison thought, This is a good chance to kill Bear. Harrison said, Naval Blue Wrist Band Invoke Super Speed. In a flash, Harrison had grabbed Bear as he said, Self-Destruct. The blast engulfed Bear. While the force of the explosion blasted Evelyn and Marie backwards over a hundred feet in opposite directions.

The explosion dispersed quickly as the dust settled. A crater was formed in the desert afterwards. Two figures stood in the center of the crater. Evelyn tried to get up, but faltered when she realized that she couldn’t move her right leg. Evelyn looked over to see blood gushing from her leg. A piece of rock had embedded itself in Evelyn’s knee severing her A.C.L. (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) and M.C.L. (Medial Collateral Ligament). Evelyn could only watch and hope that Bear survived the explosion. Marie laughed to herself saying, This Harrison guy is intensely…stupid. Harrison killed himself, ensuring that I would pick up the win. To Marie’s surprise, the two figures in the dust were made clear.

Bear stood unfazed and unharmed while holding Harrison by the throat about a foot and a half off the ground. Harrison gagged as Bear smirked. Bear asked, What was that? Is that the extent of your power?! Pathetic, you’re a waste of a phoenix. Harrison lost consciousness. With one flick of Bear’s thumb, he snapped Harrison’s neck. Harrison’s body dispersed into ashes a moment later. Bear licked Harrison’s ashes as he laughed maniacally. Marie thought, I’m so dead. A sandbag full of chronic weed fell onto the salt marsh as Harrison crawled out of it at half strength. Bear clapped his hands while saying, Let’s end this quickly.

Marie walked over to Harrison commanding, Don’t go charging in again! We have to out think him. Harrison took a deep breath as he replied, You’re right. I got an idea. A move I was saving for someone powerful. Marie get ready to attack. MIX! Phencyclidine (P.C.P.) and Morphine (M). A beaker emerged in each of Harrison’s hands. One beaker was filled with white powder (P.C.P.) and the other was filled with a thicker gray liquid (M). Harrison mixed the phencyclidine and morphine together. The mixture turned into a smooth yellow liquid. Harrison learned the name of his new mixture. Harrison thought, I have now created Cycliphine (CM). Harrison tossed the cycliphine at Bear. Bear chose not to dodge the attack. The beaker of cycliphine shattered on contact with Bear. The yellow liquid covered Bear’s body like a smooth, golden slime. Bear taunted, Is that it?"

During all the confusion, Marie made her way over to the distracted and injured Evelyn. Once in range, Marie immediately started choking Evelyn. Bear looked over at Evelyn saying, What a waste? Harrison screamed, I’m not done yet! Sixth Race Bracelet! Darkness came over Harrison’s eyes. A row of black spikes grew down the sides of his arms. Then black spikes formed out of the backside of his legs. A crescent moon symbol appeared over his chest as his shirt transformed into a black vest. Harrison’s pants vanished as a pair of open legged, black leather chained pants appeared in their place. Harrison’s shoes transformed into a pair of iron plated boots. Harrison lost all remnants of his free will and became Striker.

Bear said, A descendant of me. Interesting. Striker replied, Descendent, please. Prepare yourself for punishment. Striker slashed the air with his arm spikes. Bear felt a cut across his chest as no damage happened to his clothes. Bear showed no emotion from Striker’s attack. Striker became enraged and unleashed a barrage of slashes with lightning speed. Evelyn’s expression became lifeless as her limbs went limp. Marie watched as Striker landed blow after blow. Marie thought, We can win. Marie choked Evelyn with all her might until Evelyn died.

The Gallifrey transformation pen glowed with silver and blue sparkles as it floated over to Evelyn. Evelyn’s body and spirit were absorbed into it. The Gallifrey transformation pen blasted into the stratosphere, shattering the sky. Marie noticed a series of ones and zeros in the sky as it was reformed. Marie asked, Was that a binary code? Striker’s assault came to an end as Bear stood in place unfazed. Marie said, Damn. This dude ain’t right. Not even a scratch. Marie saw that the ground around Bear’s feet had cracked and she could see the same binary code. Marie noticed that the ground used the binary code to repair the damage. Marie thought, This isn’t the Salt Marsh anymore. This is the Digital World.

Striker looked at the fact that Bear was unharmed and yelled, IMPOSSIBLE! Bear laughed briefly before his expression turned stern. Bear said, You weaklings make me laugh. You have no control over mystical pressure. How do you think you can win? Using power after power with no control. Weak, I’m using only one percent of my power. SHUT UP! yelled Striker. Striker jumped back screaming, Pin Missile Barrage! Every spike on Striker’s body blasted forth and locked onto Bear. Bear yelled with excitement, This is what I’m talking about! Let me show you a taste of power! Bear’s body flashed white for a second as the spikes redirected themselves back towards Striker. Striker was unable to dodge as he was hit by the full barrage. The spikes covered Strikers body from head to toe. Then the spikes dissolved into a form of acid as Striker’s body was melted down to the bone in a matter of moments.

Marie remembered that NaTavis promised her, his assistance if they won their N.E. Battle against Patrick Renfro and Horace Middleton. Marie screamed, NaTavis! I’m calling in your debt to me. Since I know this is not a video game. I need help from you now! All NaTavis’s clones heard Marie’s call. One of the NaTavis clones held his hand up and summoned Kaju to his side. Another NaTavis clone located Marie’s whereabouts. A third NaTavis clone transported Kaju into the Digital World. Kaju fell to the ground in front of Marie. Marie walked over and picked up Kaju. Kaju transformed into a digital imprint of itself. The original Kaju separated itself and returned to the NaTavis clone that summoned it. Marie felt all her fear and doubt vanish as the digital imprint became Cyber Kaju. With Cyber Kaju in hand, Marie blasted towards Bear so fast that she broke the sound barrier. Bear tried to move, but couldn’t. Marie slashed Bear. Bear felt a small portion of his energy being absorbed.

Marie felt a huge increase in power. Marie said, All the ones and zeros finally make sense. I know what I need to do. It’s time for me to Digivolve. A bright light shined down on Marie. Marie grew to six feet tall. Marie’s arms and legs formed muscles as if she were an amazon. All of Marie’s clothes and shoes became a veil of white fur that covered her from head to toe. A black M-shaped stripe appeared on the backside of her head. Marie’s human ears became perched cat ears. Three orange tiger stripes formed straight parallel lines down the middle of Marie’s back. A long white and orange tiger’s tail grew out of Marie’s tail bone. Black gauntlets emerged over her forearms. An orange rimmed; black shaded visor appeared over Marie’s shins. Marie’s hands and feet became the paws of a tiger. Marie had now digivolved into Tygilamon. The bright light vanished as Tygilamon let out a thunderous roar.

Bear heard the Narrator say, Tygilamon. She is one bad kitty. Get in her way and she will blast you away with her Paw Paw Kitty Attack. Bear thought, Ah hell, this story has a narrator. Before Bear could finish his thought, Tygilamon gave him an uppercut so powerful that it sent him flying a hundred feet in the air. Tygilamon jumped, meeting Bear in the air. Tygilamon delivered a flurry of punches and kicks with blinding speed, followed by a haymaker to the crown of Bear’s head, instantly hurling him to the ground.

Bear hit the ground so hard that he left a ten-meter crater upon impact. Tygilamon said, This will end it. Paw Paw Kitty Blast. Tygilamon stretched her paws out and blasted an air projectile in the shape of a cat’s paw. Before the blast hit, Bear shouted, Don’t get carried away! Bear could feel that part of his body had become paralyzed. Bear forced his body to move out of the air paws range. Bear looked to where the attack hit and saw a hole shaped like a paw. Bear thought, If that had hit, it would’ve damaged me.

Bear said, Doll. Giant boulder’s fell from the sky and assembled themselves into rock golem. Attack, ordered Bear. The Golem named Doll approached Tygilamon. Tygilamon took a defensive posture. Doll smashed the ground with its fists causing an earthquake so powerful that it knocked Tygilamon out of the air. As Tygilamon hit the ground, Doll raised its right hand and blasted it like a rocket. Tygilamon countered with Paw Paw Kitty Blast. The rocket powered rocks and air paw collided causing rocks to blast off in several directions. Bear stepped behind Doll as it took the impact of the dispersed rocks. Tygilamon used her cybernetic nimbleness to dodge the multiple impacts. Then Tygilamon thought the attack was over so she stopped moving. At that moment, Tygilamon was struck in the back by Doll’s other fist. Tygilamon lost her breath and transformation as she returned to being Marie.

An onyx stone plate appeared looped through a necklace around Marie’s neck. The onyx stone plate had the numbers, 1313, inscribed on it. Marie identified this as a Digital Crest.

(This is your narrator speaking. A Digital Crest will help Marie reach the ultimate form in her digivolved state. Think of it this way. Marie is a Rookie Level, which is the lowest level of Digivolution. Tygilamon is Marie’s Champion level, which is the second more powerful level. For the third, and final level, you need a crest. Marie’s Arc of 1313 powers are now locked within the crest. When Marie unlocks her crest, she will be able to digivolve to her ultimate form. Now back to your story.)

At that same moment, Lil Richie’s Real World and Story World combination light hit the Gate Crasher. All the Gate Crasher’s systems shut down. Everyone on the Gate Crasher became curious at the sudden black out. As the Gate Crasher came back online, it scanned the battlefield. The Gate Crasher detected that Bear and Marie were still alive. The Gate Crasher deemed that the battle had ended in a draw. Bear and Marie Woods were then transported up to the Gate Crasher.

Winners: Bear (Lord of the 6th Race) & Marie Woods (Arc of 1313 & Awakened Digimon)

Back at Lord Bear’s castle, General Tison left her two subordinates in charge who went by the names of Seth and Lady Elaine.

(Sorry to interrupt, but this is your friendly narrator once again. Seth is NaTavis’s dashing half-brother from a parallel universe. In Seth’s world, NaTavis’s little sister Tracy never existed. Neither did his brother’s Ricky and NaTerric. NaTavis still grew to be what some claimed all powerful. While Seth grew to be jealous and forgotten. In Seth’s reality, he gained the Phoenix of Control. Since Seth gained his powers, he has tried on several occasions to be a villain. Seth will do anything in his power to be a thorn in NaTavis’s side.

Lady Elaine on the other hand is Ricky Lawton’s, NaTavis Lawton’s, and NaTerric Lawton’s mother from the quote, Real World. While Lady Elaine was looking for her three children, the Real World merged with the Storybook World. Lady Elaine found herself working at Lord Bear’s castle as a trusted technician.)

Seth walked into the lab asking, What is the progress? I’m a researcher, not a scientist, spouted Lady Elaine. Seth shouted, The Progress Now! Krypta smarted off, Look! We have found life within the axe. It’s going to take some time! Seth responded, I could care less! Lord Bear wants this axe! I will not fail him!

Suddenly the axe in the containment chamber started gathering life energy. White life particles surrounded the axe as it transformed into a person. Seth was stunned to see that it was a completely nude version of Daniel. Daniel opened his eyes. Daniel’s gaze immediately locked in on Seth. Daniel screamed as his feet touched the floor, YOU! SOLE SURVIVOR! Daniel’s body deteriorated instantly into a pile of ash. Seth screamed in agony as his body erupted in flames. Soon after the flames burned so hot that Seth became a pile of ash.

As the flames snuffed out, Daniel arose from Seth’s ashes. Daniel asked, Am I still a simple phoenix? Krypta and Lady Elaine shared a look of horror and concern. Right before they both silently decided to charge Daniel. Lady Elaine and Krypta dashed forward to attack. Before they could, Daniel said, Threads of Life. Two strings appeared, one black and one brown. One end of the black thread was flowing out of Krypta’s heart. One end of the brown was flowing out of Lady Elaine’s heart. The other ends of the black and brown strings were connected to Daniel’s left hand. Daniel barely tugged on the strings as Lady Elaine and Krypta felt the pain all through their bodies. A large pair of gold scissors emerged in Daniel’s right hand. Lady Elaine and Krypta screamed, NO! Daniel used the scissors to cut both threads. Lady Elaine and Krypta instantly fell to the ground, dead. Daniel watched as the black and brown strings vanished from sight.

Daniel said, I have to save Alacard. Time for Time Force! Daniel’s shirt transformed into a green vest as that covered his back as well as his front. A green long sleeved sparkling armored shirt appeared underneath his vest. Daniel’s pants were transformed into a pair of green tights as his shoes became a pair of white long boots. White gloves appeared over his hands. A green helmet appeared over his head with a V-shaped black visor in the front of the helmet. The power coin transformed into a sheriff’s badge and it implanted itself onto his white belt that appeared around his waist in that instant. Daniel was then transformed into the Green Time Force Ranger.

The Green Time Force Ranger held his right arm out yelling, Z Discovery! A green colored Delta class spaceship rose from the depths of the Brayden Complex’s 4th moon. Soon after, Z Discovery arrived at the Green Time Force Ranger’s location. As the Green Time Force Ranger teleported up to Z Discovery, Leah emerged from the shadows. Leah watched Z Discovery blast off.

On a white planet, Shawneita, Carol, and Angie awoke to a world of white trees and foliage. Carol asked, What happened? Where are we? And, where is the ship? Shawneita held her head asking, Didn’t we just leave to find Jihan? Our ship, the Femmefatale, was hit by those shockwaves. Honestly, that’s the last thing I remember. Everything after that is a blur. Angie pointed at a metal piece on the ground while asking, Isn’t that a piece of the Femmefatale? The metal piece glowed as it floated over to Shawneita. The metal piece vibrated with speech. The metal piece spoke, Captain Shawneita, Medical Officer Carol, and Storage Officer Angie. The Femmefatale was severely damaged upon crash landing on this planet. Repairs will take 48 hours until completed. Then the metal piece stopped glowing as it fell back to the ground.

Shawneita spoke with frustration, Damn! Our search for Jihan has been delayed. Carol rolled her eyes while saying, Really, we got bigger problems. Angie said, These white trees seem to go on for miles in every direction. Carol noticed rustling sounds coming from every direction as giant six-legged white wolves dashed out surrounding them. Carol lifted her hands while saying, Time Barrier. An alarm clock appeared within her hands. The alarm clock floated up and started ringing. The constant ringing caused an almost clear barrier to be casted down over the three girls. The white wolves passed through the barrier with no problem. Carol screamed, We’re in trouble!

Just before the white wolves attacked, a solid yellow colored star blasted all the wolves back into the white forest. A small framed 12-year-old boy jumped out of the bushes. The white wolves readied their growls and attack formation once more. The small framed boy held his right hand out. The small framed boy said, Pacify. The small framed boy’s hand glowed with a calming white light. The same calming light overcame the white wolves. The giant white wolves stopped growling and started walking away. Angie turned to the small framed boy saying, Thank you. The small framed boy frowned as he yelled, What are you three doing here on the City of Time?

Chapter Two

Back at Shadow NaTavis and Xelha’s home, Xelha turned to Ms. Jonas and Tracy immediately saying no to their request. Tracy asked, Why not? Why won’t you turn me into an arc? Xelha said, Everyone seems to forget. I’m still in this tournament. I plan on winning. Now leave my home! Ms. Jonas grabbed her walker as she nodded in agreement. Tracy asked, Are you seriously leaving? Ms. Jonas said, Yes, we are. Tracy asked, Why are we doing this the hard way? I’m tired of playing second fiddle. I wish that Xelha’s arc transformation powers were mine to wield. Ms. Jonas grabbed Tracy’s hand while saying, Take it back. Do not finish this wish. You won’t like the consequences. Tracy finished by saying, Wish Granted. Pink sparkles drained from Tracy’s hands. Then Tracy’s whole body lit up. All of Tracy’s wish particles started draining out as they formed into a massive egg. Shadow NaTavis asked, What’s going on? Xelha’s body covered over in a blue shadowing light. Tracy and Xelha vanished from that plain of existence. Shadow NaTavis turned to see that Ms. Jonas was gone as well.

Two minutes later, Tracy and Xelha walked into a beautiful well outfitted bank. Tracy said, This bank looks normal enough. Xelha interrupted, I’m not talking to you like we’re friends. You tried to take my power. Tracy replied, My wishes don’t fail. I have your power. You’re going to tell me how to activate it. Xelha saw how pale and drained Tracy looked as she thought, Her wish power has limits.

Another female voice asked, Are you here to make a deposit? All transactions are final. Xelha turned to see a brightly complexioned dark haired normal stature of an African American female. The woman spoke, My name is Bremariee Cross. I am the bank manager here. The two of you may call me Bre. Tracy replied, All transactions are final. Why would we make a transaction? Bre answered, You, Tracy Lawton, Phoenix of Wishes. You ma’am have made your last wish. Tracy raised her fists as she asked, Is that a threat? Bre answered, Not at all. Everyone thinks their powers have no limits. NaTavis and a select few others were hit by Ciraxis’s blast. You, Tracy, were not one of them. This is where you come when your phoenix reaches the end of what it can teach you. Xelha interrupted, I thought that all the phoenixes returned to the Phoenix World’s well. Bre continued, You didn’t hear. A girl named Jamie Yarbourough sealed the well. The seal can’t be broken. Not even with a wish. I had come into work early that day. The bank became a magical housing facility and I became its caretaker. Now Tracy, won’t you please place your hand on the computerized deposit slip?

Tracy thought, How does she know my name? Bre picked up a computer pad as Tracy did as she asked. Tracy didn’t know why she complied. Tracy’s phoenix of wishes was removed. Bre immediately deposited the pad into the bank vault. Tracy asked, What will happen to the Phoenix of Wishes? Bre answered, You maxed it out. Since you gave it up willingly, there were a few other phoenixes that hadn’t claimed any hosts yet. You are welcome to withdraw one of those. Or you could simply focus on your innate dragon heritage. Tracy said, I was about to take myself to arc. I don’t want to do that with a power I don’t know. Bre replied, Oh dear child. Xelha didn’t tell you.

Tracy looked at Xelha asking, What didn’t you tell me? Xelha answered, Going to arc is a two-part ability. You can never use it on yourself. Tracy kicked the nearest desk in anger. Bre walked over to Xelha with another deposit pad saying, I need your Phoenix of Existence as well. It doesn’t belong to you. If you give it up freely, I can replace it with another. Xelha replied, I feel so violated today. Xelha, then without hesitation, replied to Bre’s request.

Suddenly, the bank began to shake uncontrollably. Bre rushed to the nearest window. Bre looked up as she saw the sky turning dark. Bre said, If I’m not mistaken. I would swear that the sky is filling up with very large bugs. A massive blue portal opened. Justin fell out with a keyblade covered in cloud graphics. Justin said, The key to this world was hard to find. Come on the four of us have to go. Bre said, I can’t go. I have to stay here and protect the last of the phoenixes. Justin said, I was only able to find this world because this new breed of time eating heartless have come here. They eat everything that has become a paradox. I’ve seen what they do to humans. Justin looked at Bre as his eyes shaded over. Justin’s eyes became clear a few moments later as he said, Only people with powers can travel through my portals safely. Xelha said, Well we all have powers, so let’s go. Justin turned to Bre saying, She doesn’t. She’s human.

Tracy said, I can fix that. Power Regulation. Tracy’s body erupted with pink energy. Justin, Xelha, and Bre were covered in pink glitter. Tracy passed out as Justin caught her. Justin said, We have to go now. I’ll drop the three of you off at the Armenta Estate. It’s home base for now. Justin leapt through the portal with Tracy. Xelha grabbed Bre’s hand, but Bre hesitated. Xelha asked, What’s wrong? Bre replied, I’ve never left the bank. Xelha said, Okay we’ll get into your backstory later. Xelha and Bre looked up to see the time eating heartless eating through the walls. Xelha grabbed Bre’s hand. Bre said, If I’m going, I need my pads. Bre let go of Xelha’s hand and grabbed her deposit and withdraw pads. Bre said, Now we can go. Bre followed Xelha through Justin’s portal.

Upon arrival on the other side, Bre, Xelha, and Tracy were shocked at the pure size of the Armenta Estate. Jerry met with the new arrivals as he showed them to the refugee intake wing. Bre said, I’m excited. I never get to go anywhere, but work and home. Everyone heard a scream as they turned around to see a half-naked woman running from someone across the porcelain floor. The man yelled, Shaniquia Miller! You’ll never learn to use your next power unless you sleep with me! Shaniquia yelled back, Amack! We shouldn’t have rescued you! You’re a pervert! Amack yelled, If you want to master your ass, we must sleep together! Shaniquia screamed again in frustration. Bre asked, Is this place always so lively? Justin saw Bre, Xelha, and Tracy getting ready to go after Amack in a blind fury. Justin said, Ladies stop! It’s not what you think. Amack has an ability called Cuddle. Amack doesn’t want to have sex with Shaniquia. When a person falls asleep next to him and he holds them close, one of their powers can be mastered. Shaniquia, over there, has a power called Ass Telepathy. It’s supposed to help her find people, but she can’t control it. For the last couple of weeks, she starts twerking and it doesn’t stop for hours.

Bre replied, Let me get this straight. Shaniquia’s ass finds people and Amack’s cuddle ability can help her master it. Tracy yelled, Avert your eyes! Shaniquia’s twerking butt naked! Shaniquia cried, THE JIGGLING WON’T STOP! Everyone in the area turned away from Shaniquia. Bre asked, So what do we do now? Jerry answered, I need you to register with my assistant. Her name is Aaliyah. She will take you to your rooms and make sure that you have everything you need. Training for you three will start in the morning. Tracy said, Wait a minute. When I saw you in the Underworld, there was another guy with you. Where is he? Jerry answered, Oh you mean Lord Andres. Lord Andres oversees the night shift.

Aaliyah reintroduced herself as she asked, Won’t you ladies follow me? Xelha asked, Don’t we know you? Aaliyah answered, Nope, no one knows me. I became the Phoenix of Air three years ago. When I first went to rescue somebody, Horace showed up and rescued them. Then the next time it was Kevin. Then it was Carol. Then it was Carrie and Starsha. The list goes on and on. So, I finally gave up. Every time I tried to use my power someone else would use theirs. My power is the absolute coolest, but I’ll save it for training. Now ladies come this way. I’ll show you the cafeteria and then to your new rooms. Aaliyah murmured under her breath, You three are going to be here a while. Aaliyah turned away from the ladies as her smile turned sinister.

Bre asked Tracy, What power did you give me? Tracy answered, Oh that’s not how Power Regulation works. All it does is open your mind, body, and soul to make you capable of receiving a power. The power itself is for you to discover. Most people’s powers manifest right away. So, you don’t feel any different? Bre answered, Nope, I feel the same. Aaliyah showed all three girls into a massive room with all the comforts of a four-star hotel. Tracy, Xelha, and Bre felt like little kids as they explore every aspect of the space. Aaliyah warned, Make sure you get some rest. Training can be brutal. Bre and Xelha had stopped listening at this point. Tracy turned just in time to see Aaliyah’s fake smile transform into something grimace. Aaliyah turned and walked out of the room, locking the door behind her.

Tracy ran over to the door yelling, Why did you lock the door Aaliyah? Bre and Xelha’s excitement died down as they turned their attention back to Tracy. Aaliyah yelled back, You have a bathroom and fully stocked mini-kitchen in there. Tracy yelled, That doesn’t answer my question! Aaliyah whispered through the door, It’s almost night time. Lord Andres hasn’t eaten in a while. You’re safer in there. Aaliyah left the area as Bre said, The kitchen supplies are awesome. Xelha asked, Who’s Lord Andres? Tracy replied, Lord Andres Armenta. He’s over the Armenta Estate. All I know for sure is that my brother NaTavis doesn’t trust him. Bre replied, I’m good with being locked in. We can eat, shower, watch some television. Xelha took a quick look around the room and then said, Yep, I was right. Tracy asked, About what? Xelha answered, There is no television in here. Tracy dropped to her knees screaming, OH THE HORROR! Xelha and Bre burst into laughter.

Later that night, after the girls had eaten themselves into a food coma, they heard a knock at the door. Bre covered herself over with a pillow while saying in a muffled voice, I’m too full to move! Then the knock turned into loud pounding and screams. Xelha got out of bed and rushed over to the door. Aaliyah unlocked it as Shaniquia, Justin, Jerry, Amack, and Aaliyah trampled over each other to get inside the door. Then they slammed the door. Bre said, Look like it’s time to get dressed. Tracy asked, What’s going on? Jerry said, The Armenta Estate is no longer safe. Justin added, The time eating heartless have invaded. They have also merged with Lord Andres.

Amack scowled, Enough talk! We have to leave now! Justin said, I have used up all of my energy. I can’t open a portal. All the moisture drained out of the door as it became dry and brittle. Lord Andres punched it, shattering the door instantly. Lord Andres face was covered over in black veins. Everyone immediately felt hot. Jerry yelled, Alto! Carmen no quiero esto! Lord Andres didn’t reply as everyone felt like they were lost in a desert on a hot, sunny day. V-Arxal spoke to Shaniquia, Summon me. I can take him out. Shaniquia thought, No! You must save your energy. We’re in the tournament now. V-Arxal argued, But you’ll die here. If you die, you can’t compete in the tournament. Shaniquia thought, Have you forgotten what we learned from training here over the last two months? V-Arxal replied, Oh yeah, we have a new power. I’m ready! Go ahead and use it.

Shaniquia said, I can sense another dragon. It’s time for it to awaken. Shaniquia turned to Tracy yelling, V-Arxal use Dragon Aura Awaken! The shadow of V-Arxal covered Shaniquia as Tracy’s heart began to pound louder and slower. Amack said, You guys better do something soon. I’ll buy you some time. Amack started punching Lord Andres, but his punches had no effect. Bre’s body pulsed as her Deposit Pad and Withdrawal Pad floated up and disappeared inside of her body. Bre asked, What just happened? Xelha said, Your powers just manifested. Now use them. Bre replied, How? I’m so hot. So thirsty. Bre’s withdrawal pad emerged in her hands.

Bre heard her own voice say, You are now the physical incarnation of the Phoenix World’s well. That means you can pull back phoenixes from the people who don’t deserve them with your Deposit Pad. As for your Withdrawal Pad, it allows you to assign people without phoenixes a phoenix. Look through your options and assign a person a phoenix. Your withdrawal ability is your Level 2 ability which means you can assign any phoenix to any person for 48 hours. That phoenix will automatically cancel out all other powers that a person knows. Bre thought, That doesn’t sound good. Bre’s inner self continued, In return, any power that any person learns, they get to keep. Even after the phoenix returns to you. Bre thought, I assume that all their normal powers will return to them when the phoenix returns to me. Bre’s inner self agreed with that conclusion.

Bre noticed that time had slowed down while she was receiving a tutorial of her powers. Bre immediately looked through her Withdrawal pad. The only phoenixes registered were the Phoenix of Wishes and the Phoenix of Existence. Bre thought, Which one of these can help? Lord Andres heatwave became so intense that the whole room erupted in flames. As Bre started sweating, Amack was repelled by Lord Andres newly developed Heat Guard. Amack’s hands were severely burned by Lord Andres Heat Guard. Bre tapped the Phoenix of Wishes as a keyboard screen popped up with a statement. The statement was, Please enter the name of the recipient. Bre thought, I hope I’m spelling this right. Bre typed in the name…. Amack.

Bre’s withdrawal pad floated up out of her hands. The withdrawal pad turned its screen towards Amack. The Phoenix of Wishes blasted out and joined with Amack. Bre’s withdrawal pad floated back down to her with a 48-hour countdown clock on its screen. As the seconds started ticking away, a cocoon made of pink feathers and white skin formed around Tracy’s body. Tracy became locked in place. Justin tried activating his M.C.K., but it had no effect. Then Justin remembered that his portals only opened when he felt he was in danger. Justin thought, Somethings wrong here. My portals don’t believe that I’m in danger. The Armenta Estate is known as a sanctuary. Besides the intense heat, is there really a reason to flee?

Aaliyah concentrated her power as she said, Air Hollow. The whole room filled with waves of cold air that snuffed out the flames. Lord Andres Heat Guard was unaffected. Bre turned to Aaliyah saying, You bought me some time. Thank you. Amack’s body erupted with green light. Amack felt refreshed as he lost his, Cuddle, ability and gained the Phoenix of Wishes. Bre immediately became dizzy and fell over. Bre couldn’t see straight as she asked, What’s wrong with me? Aaliyah leaned over and helped Bre sit up. Aaliyah said, You used a power without having a phoenix to take the brunt of the physical and mental toll. So, it used your life energy to execute the move. Bre passed out from exhaustion.

Amack felt a new power awakening inside of him as he said, Reinforced Punches. Amack’s fists powered up and healed. Amack jabbed Lord Andres one time in the gut. Lord Andres dispersed into energy. Jerry didn’t know how to react. A computerized voice said, Armenta Estate Training Level 1 Cleared!

Everyone was shocked as a Leaderboard appeared.

Aaliyah woke Bre up as they all looked at the leaderboard. Shaniquia asked, When did we get put in this training scenario? The real Lord Andres walked up as the room seemed to heal itself. Lord Andres said, Jeremy, the Arc of Technology just got here with Carrie VanTreese, Chico, Miguel, and a few others. Since I never know who to train or when to train. Jeremy transformed the whole Armenta Estate into a true training facility. The Armenta Estate is now alive. Every couple of days it will choose at random a group of people to enact a scenario to help them grow. Justin asked, So the time eating heartless aren’t really here? Lord Andres chuckled as he replied, Nope. Now since you were the first group to go through this, look at your personal status screens to see your rewards and claim your prizes. Bre woke up saying, So none of that was real. Aaliyah answered, Apparently not.

Jeremy ran into the room yelling, No one press accept on your status screens. If you do you will be limited to 5 offensive powers and 5 defensive powers for the rest of your life! The powers you learn are not interchangeable. If you already have more than ten powers and you choose to accept, the Armenta Estate will sort through your stuff and appoint you the powers that it thinks you should have. Bre stood up and stated, Ten powers sound like a lot. If this is such a bad thing there must be a tradeoff. Jeremy replied, The only plus I learned about is for the next 50 years you won’t age nor will you be able to be killed. Things will return to normal for you 50 years from now. Aaliyah included, I could stay a teenager for 50 years. Why would that be a good thing?

Bre said, I don’t know how things work in this world, but 50 guaranteed years is the best offer I got so far. Bre opened her status screen and pressed the accept button. The Armenta Estate said, Armenta Conversion in progress. Bremariee Cross has been selected. Bre vanished from everyone’s sight. Ten to fifteen minutes later Bremariee Cross reappeared. Bre returned wearing a new outfit made of leather and bronze. Bre looked like a post-apocalyptic survivor. Bre opened her all-new status screen.

Chapter Three

(Training Day-Captain: The person or persons who will command the Gate Crasher’s crew)

The Gate Crasher transported Charmaine, Miranda, Latrell, and Jonathan to a hidden room. The Gate Crasher spoke, I have suspended time until the four of you can come to a consensus of who should be the leader and captain of the Gate Crasher. No one is leaving this room until that happens. Then the Gate Crasher shut off its communications.

Charmaine said, It’s obvious for I am an angel of the almighty lord. Miranda interrupted, From what I overheard, you are a former angel and you’re dating my ex-husband. Where is he by the way? Charmaine replied, I have committed to no such label. NaTavis and I are not dating. Jonathan’s blood started to boil at the very mention of NaTavis’s name. Jonathan turned as Lily said, NaTavis is not your enemy. He’s more like your rival. Your next order is to make these three people apart of your pack. Jonathan turned to Lily replying, You’re right I have to think about the bigger picture.

Jonathan caught Miranda’s, Charmaine’s, and Latrell’s attention. Miranda yelled, I ain’t letting no guy with obvious voices in his head lead me! Charmaine added, I don’t know who or what that is, but he’s definitely talking to something that looks like a doll. Miranda added, So only you and him can see this doll. Charmaine looked closer and asked, Jonathan, who is Lily? Jonathan asked back, Why would you ask me that? Charmaine saw that Jonathan’s eyes became dilated as the image of Lily vanished from Charmaine’s sight. Charmaine asked Jonathan, What’s wrong with you?

Latrell interrupted, What do any of these conversations have to do with our current situation. Which one of us will become the captain of the Gate Crasher? The Gate Crasher announced, Time has been suspended. Once a captain is chosen, I, the Gate Crasher can accept pending arrivals and the tournament can resume. Miranda asked, Out of everyone on the ship, why choose between the four of us for captain? The Gate Crasher replied, In the original timeline where I was constructed, Carol Middleton was my captain. With the emergence of fracturing timelines and the rise of the Grooming Facilities. Miranda stopped the Gate Crasher from continuing as she said, Sorry Gate Crasher. I’ve heard talk about these Grooming Facilities before. What are they? Why are they important? The Gate Crasher answered, This is a secret that can not leave this room. Whoever is chosen to be captain will decide if the other two or three will retain knowledge of this secret. Charmaine added, That makes me want to know even more. Tell us already. The Gate Crasher replied, It would be better if the four of you lived through the events and discovered secrets for yourselves. Charmaine, Jonathan, Miranda, and Latrell were overtaken by a powerful high pitch. All four passed out as the Gate Crasher transported them to a forgotten time far into the future.

In the year 7014 A.D.F. (After Dragon Fortification), Latrell woke up in an elevator. Latrell got his bearings as the doors opened up. Latrell stood up and stepped out of the elevator. Latrell was scanned as an alarm sounded. Android security guards immediately intercepted Latrell. Latrell unwillingly accompanied the androids as he was led to a holographic interrogation room. A few minutes later, the androids brought in Miranda. Miranda asked, What’s going on here? Where is Charmaine and Jonathan? Latrell shrugged his shoulders and asked back, What are the chances that you or me will be chosen to be captain of the Gate Crasher? Miranda asked, Who were you before you were transported to the Gate Crasher?

Before Latrell could answer an interrogation android entered the room. The interrogation android sternly asked, Where are your immigration chips? Latrell and Miranda looked confused as the interrogation android stated, So the two of you are illegals. Miranda said, I was born in America. I am no illegal. The interrogation android pulled up two screens seemingly out of thin air with the wave of its hand. One screen had Miranda’s picture, date of birth, and all relevant information about Miranda’s powers and allegiance to the Red Dragon Clan. The second screen showed Latrell’s picture with a single title that read-Einherjar of the Ragnarok. No other data was revealed.

The interrogation android stated, You’re illegal time travelers. Miranda and Latrell, you will not be returning to your own time periods. You are now drafted into the war. Miranda asked, What war? The interrogation android answered, The two of you will join the Phoenix Wars. All lives across time will depend on your success. Come with me. I will take you to Processing. Miranda and Latrell were forced to follow the interrogation android.

As the interrogation android led Miranda and Latrell to Processing at the shipping docks, Charmaine had just arrived. A female ship building android saw Charmaine appear. Charmaine opened her eyes as the female android said, You can’t be here. I must hide you. The female android grabbed Charmaine’s hand and pulled her towards a dark corner on the docks. The female android looked Charmaine in the eyes while saying, I will come back for you when it’s safe. Charmaine ducked down as authority figures yelled, Hey you! What are you doing back there? The female android turned around responding, I’m just checking inventory. One of the officials commanded, Those shipments can wait! Get back to building! We’re on a deadline! The female android whispered, Stay here. I will come back for you. Then the female android walked away. When the officials left, Charmaine peeked out of the corner. Charmaine saw the name of the ship that was being built. Charmaine said, They are building the Gate Crasher.

Once the dock had cleared, Charmaine decided it was time to snoop around. Charmaine ran into several ship building stations. The other ship building androids seemed almost robotic in their mannerisms. None of the other ship builders seemed to notice Charmaine. Charmaine said, Something doesn’t add up here. Why are there so many workers over here when NaTavis’s Gate Crasher is over there? All the shipbuilders stopped moving. The female android tapped Charmaine on the shoulder. Charmaine turned asking, What’s wrong with the people? The female android answered, These aren’t people, their androids. Charmaine felt confused as she asked, What’s the difference? You all look human to me. The female android felt surprised by this action as she grabbed Charmaine’s hand. The female android said, I have acquired you a change of clothes. If you can not stay hidden as yourself. Then you will hide as one of us. Charmaine followed the female android to a changing area. Soon after Charmaine looked no different than the other androids.

Lastly, Jonathan awoke 17 light years away from the shipping dock in the White Forest. Jonathan could hear the six-legged wolves circling him as he opened his eyes. Jonathan looked the strange wolves and howled. The white wolves walked steadily closer to Jonathan. Jonathan could sense the impending danger. Jonathan’s hands transformed into white claws as he lunged forward immediately slicing one of the six legged wolves across the face. Jonathan’s attack had no effect. Jonathan was immediately mauled by the other wolves. The wolves departed as a NaTavis clone walked up. Jonathan could barely see the NaTavis clone through the blood on his face.
