To my family and friends who have always encouraged me throughout my life, it was because of your love along the way that I’ve been able to achieve my goals. I adore each and every one of you and thank you for your continued support. To my husband, Marc who has always been my biggest fan and my kiddos, Harper and Sawyer. I hope writing my first book inspires you to try new things and realize that sometimes we’re drawn to do things that don’t make sense, but never be afraid to just go for it.

Preface

Style. When you hear this word, how does it make you feel? Does it intimidate you or cause you to feel excitement? If you’re like many individuals I’ve styled, the word may make you feel a mixture of emotions--which is totally normal, by the way! However, my hope is that by the end of this book the word style will only trigger one emotion: confidence.

Let’s start with a quick exercise:

Think about an outfit you’re now ashamed you ever wore in public. Then, laugh a little! We all have a ‘what was I thinking outfit’ in the depths of our memory and you have to admit--it’s fun to reflect on how your personal style has evolved throughout the years.

Now, think about an outfit you’ve worn that you felt ravishing in. This outfit is likely timeless and able to be replicated for multiple occasions because you feel like the best version of yourself in it. Afterall, when you’re wearing clothes you love, your confidence is contagious. These are the outfits we strive for.

For better or worse, style tells the world who you are without saying a single word.
