when she was in 1st grade. She faced new challenges
throughout the school year, and best of all, Diana
went on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. At the
start of this book, she has just come back from her
trip, and a new school year is about to begin. What
will Diana encounter? Read this very book to find

Chapter 1
A New School Year
August 12.
It is the day before the first day of school and I am sooooo excited! I heard that there are a few new girls named Brook Cohen, Lottie Hamilton, Maddy Pearl and Claire Seagull all coming to this school! I already know two of the girls, Brook Cohen and Lottie Hamilton, from summer camp. Brook was in the snake boarding lesson with me, and Lottie was in the play Aladdin with me. So, technically, I already know those girls pretty well.
Here is a little information about Brook Cohen: Brook was born on May 2, 2013. She has two dogs named Suki and Kayla, as well as two cats named Tuxedo and Lucky. Here is a little information about Lottie Hamilton: Lottie was born on June 22, 2011. She has a little brother named Alex and she loves giraffes as well as axolotls.
Anyway, I am very excited for school because of two things. First, if any of those four girls are in my class, they are going to get a full-blown tour of the school led by Anna. Second, I am hoping that Mrs. Gardner is my teacher. She is a really strict teacher, and the stricter a teacher is, the better I like the teacher. You see, I absolutely LOVE strict teachers. Every time I start a new grade, I always pray for the strictest teacher in that grade. The strictest teacher in 3rd grade is Mrs. Gardner, so I am most definitely going to hope for Mrs. Gardner this year. The other 3rd grade teachers are Mr. Huckleberry and Mrs. Catherine-Adobe.
