Introduction

A friend of mine asked me to speak to a group one night. I started with a few simple questions to get started. How many of you are saved? All but one hand went up in the group of ten to fifteen people. All right, cool. So how many of you have been saved for a year or less? One hand went up. How many have been saved for five years or less? Two or three more hands went up. How many have been saved for ten years or less? All the rest of the hands went up in the room. So when you got saved, how many of you had someone tell you, ‘Congratulations and welcome to the kingdom of heaven! Now let me show you and help you out on your new walk with God and learn what He expects of you’? No one raised a hand.

That is the biggest problem I see with the church today—few people if any are discipling others.

What I do matters? Yes, it has an earthly impact, but more important, it has an eternal impact on God’s kingdom. All God’s children are building His kingdom, not just those who are known worldwide or are in the media or on television. Every single one of us makes an impact. So will you be a part of a greater impact for God’s kingdom or do nothing and make it harder for everyone else?
