The story you are about to read is one of the first having a Bat man
as the main character. It originally appeared in Spicy Mystery Stories from February 1936. It was written by Lew Merrill, one of the many pseudonym of Victor Rousseau Emanuel, an English pulp writer.
Batman
is a familiar name to comics and non-comics reader around the world. Whether you know all his adventures by heart or you just saw a picture of the character on a movie poster you all know he is one of the most iconic characters of the XX° Century.
Batman, like his brother,
Superman, is everything but just a lucky intuition, instead he can be considered the most fortunate and perhaps the prime example of a particular character archetype that was created in the first half of the last Century: the urban dark knight.
