About this ebook

From the New York Times and internationally bestselling authors of The Illuminae Files comes a new science fiction epic...

It's 2380 and the graduating students of Aurora Academy are being assigned their first missions. Tyler Jones has been a star pupil who hopes to recruit the squad of his dreams but ends up with a mixed and volatile crew.

And Ty's squad isn't even his biggest problem that'd be Aurora Jie-Lin O'Malley, the girl he's just rescued from interdimensional space. Trapped in cryo-sleep for two centuries, Auri is a girl out of time and out of her depth. But she could be the catalyst that starts a war millions of years in the making, and Tyler's squad of losers, discipline-cases and misfits might just be the last hope for the entire galaxy.

Vividly told in the seven voices of the team members, this is fast-paced, action-packed, wickedly humorous and fabulously entertaining. Described by one online fan as 'a mystery with tons of action. A kind of thriller on steroids with a fantasy feel.'

Talking about the plot of AURORA RISING is to talk about a cleverly designed work that knows how to hook the reader from the very first moment. Not only because of that synopsis (which I know I don’t usually read). We have cynical, ironic characters, with that dark humor that I love so much. A group of misfits led by a boy committed to the cause. The pace is fast-paced almost from the start; we don’t know what is happening, but we feel the urgent need to run and worry for each and every one of our boys. Don’t ask me to tell you who my favorite is; I can’t. What I can say freely is that I have suffered a lot and that I desperately and urgently need the next part. The union of Ami Kaufman and Jay Kristoff strikes me as explosive and right, perfect. His irony is noticeable on every page, but there’s also a certain subtle sweetness that I’m sure belongs to the author, for me... the perfect symbiosis. Happy reading! (Translated from Spanish)

Good twists! Humor, irony, soft romance, mystery... a good cocktail (the bad thing is that I didn't see it was a saga, and now I have that feeling that I need to finish the story). A little slap on the wrist for not researching a bit more.
Fin is by far my favorite character, so find another one because I'm keeping him ? (Translated from Spanish)
