About this ebook

Indulge your fantasies of delicious Regency Rakes, fierce Viking warriors and rugged Highlanders. Be swept away into a world of intense passion, lavish settings and romance that burns brightly through the centuries

Disowned! But deeply in love!

Emily Spencer was both when she eloped to the Continent with her handsome young soldier. Now widowhood had brought her back to England-and into the arms of Evan Mansfield, the dashing Earl of Cheverley, who willingly gave her his heart. . . but could never give her his name!

Elemental and eternal. . . Such was the passion Emily Spencer inspired in Evan Mansfield. Surely this woman was his destiny, his forever love, despite her lack of aristocratic ties. But honor and a deathbed promise demanded he bind himself in marriage to another-and abandon the only joy he'd ever known!

Author

Julia Justiss

Long before embarking on romantic adventures of her own, Julia Justiss read about them, transporting herself to such favourite venues as ancient Egypt, World War II submarine patrols, the Old South and, of course, Regency England. Soon she was keeping notebooks for jotting down story ideas. When not writing or traveling, she enjoys watching movies, reading and puttering about in the garden trying to kill off more weeds than flowers.

I found this a bit more interesting than average, but I would have liked it a lot more had the author not been allowed to run wild with one incredibly irritating verbal tic: contracting every instance of "it," whether in speech or exposition, into ’tis, ’twas, ’twill, ’twould, and so forth. Really? Must you? Aargh. Bad editor; no cookie.

Nice story. A little improbable, but entertaining. No conflicted hero here - he loves her from the very beginning. A pleasant read.
