About this ebook
Hot sex all afternoon with her old love Evan has inflamed all Taj’s sensual nerves. Evan, though now back with his Ro, indicates his continuing interest in Taj.
Taj teaches a healing innovation to her platoon mates and to David, the stunningly gorgeous Amerind Head of Surgery.
The physical intimacy involved heats her to unbearable levels, exacerbated by David’s continuing hot glances as he focuses on her to maintain the arousal a male needs to heal. Taj feels as if basting in her own juices over a slow fire.
Taj is exhausted, strung out, a furnace of hot desire, but with so many horribly burnt children to heal, there is no time for her own comfort.
Ro, in emergency mode, comes up with further ways to speed the healing and within another day the team can see that the apparently insurmountable task is not impossible after all.
So much else happens.
They raid Typhon and her old companions, those still living, are recovered.
There is a shocking but very welcome surprise and Taj finally finds her mother.
At one stage she sees David naked and he proves to have an even better body than she had been imagining.
Evan proves his continuing love and again manages to sate her desire and his.
Ro is being drained continuously, and is attacked by several unknown enemies.
Evan and Taj organize all the Creatives into supporting Ro day and night to rebuild her strength, but it is not enough. They are losing the battle to save her. There has to be another answer.

I’m Aussie, way over 35, thankfully and very happily divorced, and have a wonderful daughter who very occasionally beta-reads for me. A few years ago we had 13 cats; we just lost another, so now only one of those remains. We have added 6 more over the years, including the sweet feral ragdoll which is my Facebook avatar. I generally prefer female cats, but have also had some magnificent males. I couldn’t live without cats, just wish their lives were longer. I’m having a lot of problems adjusting to social media which doesn’t leave me enough time for writing and editing, so I won’t be expanding my web presence any time soon. If you want to know about NEW RELEASES and SPECIALS you will need to FRIEND ME ON FACEBOOK. I have announced coupons to get a new release free here, but apparently nobody reads author biographies. Of course my books are what you are really interested in. Originally, I wrote a long continuous story, starting at Reacquaintance, told from Ro’s POV. Then when Ro disappeared for a year or so, I had to use Taj to fill in the gaps, and she proved so feisty and interesting, that I added in her back story, starting with Getting to Galen and continuing in The Deep End. After Thxx’s Story, the various POVs continue in the same stream. I had to break up my huge tomes into installments that could be published separately as I finished editing them. I’m afraid my writing was quite stuffy at first, with convoluted 12- to 15-line sentences, turgid half-page paragraphs, and a lot of pompous pontification and personal political opinion which the story didn’t need. I had to rip out a lot before I could publish. I think the books are greatly improved now. I was giving away my books for free for most of a year, hoping to develop a fan base quickly, but learned that people don’t value what is free. Though over 20K copies have been downloaded, very few seem to have been read, and even fewer have been reviewed. I was unlucky to attract an ill-wisher who thought it amusing to devalue every one of my few 5-star reviews. Perhaps that put off others from reviewing. Certainly, without good reviews, few readers cared to buy my books, so if you have enjoyed them, I really would appreciate a short review. With the next book, The Power of Art, I will be doubling all my prices, so they’ll never be cheaper than they are now. I believe that I am the only person writing Utopian books today, though mine are nothing like the political satires of yesteryear. My books are based on the power of love to bring out the best in everybody, to develop their souls and help them to evolve into higher beings. Ro started Galen, and she, Taj and their men lead their people to make Galen a true Utopia which reaches out to the stars. Cat lovers will adore Brinna, my sentient sabretooth, though we have intelligent dogs and dinosaurs too. Though you couldn’t call my series a space opera, I do have a space battle planned, probably the cutest ever written, but that is still a way off. I really will have to buckle down and get more books edited and published so I can write some more.

In Galen Surgery
I took the remaining people with me to Niall’s flat where the boxes immediately began packing, then to the homes of three of his friends and two of Tony’s. That used up a half hour and gave my three favorite guys more opportunities to be attentive, which I enjoyed mightily.
Surely nothing can build up a girl’s self esteem better than to be flirted with by three lovely, loving guys vying for her attentions.
All three were very good-looking. They had magnificent bodies, hair to die for and loads of sexual magnetism. They were extraordinarily strong, as we all were—genetically enhanced, bio-engineered super soldiers, after all. And each was devoted to me.
We’d known each other since we were babies. We had always been very close. And we had always looked out for each other. Each of them, and Evan too, had risked themselves to help me out of tight situations since we could barely toddle.
And in the foul place where we were raised, ‘tight’ could often mean life-threatening.
We had already lost too many companions before we managed to break out and escape at the tender ages of 6 to 8.
We had been separated until today. Evan thought separation important to avoid discovery and his method had kept everyone alive. But I really had resented the need for it.
I had managed to live openly, even get written up in the papers a few times, quite safe because of my secure new identity. I had no real knowledge of how it felt to be hunted. But my security was not of my making.
It was a long time before I discovered that I had only been safe because Maggie, my super computer friend had taken a liking to me. She had altered both my physical fingerprints and DNA signature. So every time Typhon trackers became suspicious and checked on me, I passed all tests.
Now, finally, I had found us a safe place where we could all live together openly without fearing for our lives.
I was so pleased to have all my guys back in my life. I’d never have been able to choose between them. Fortunately I didn’t have to.
Galen permitted polyandry and polygamy to people at the highest level. That does not mean the highest management level, though in my first few hours there I had been promoted to Head of Galen Security and 2IC of the whole place.
It means the highest level of soul development. I was certain all three of my guys would qualify and we could be together. Evan was already a shoo-in.
But first, I had to figure out my relationship with Evan and get it settled.
I had finally managed to seduce him earlier today—the day I had to bring him back to Ro who had the greatest claim on him. I thought this would be my only chance to make love with him, so had thrown my innate shyness and all caution to the winds.
Evan too had given it his best shot, so the sex had been fabulous. I think he also knew it would be our last and only time to be together, so had generously given me his all.
In his opinion, Evan and I had been engaged for over two years, yet he had never even kissed me until today. He’d made no other moves on me either. And had appeared not to notice my shy little overtures.
Then this evening, I discovered that he had secretly sired an 11-month-old son with my closest girlfriend Vene.
And then abandoned her almost immediately. Though he did pay child support, Evan hadn’t been there when Vene needed him most.
Nobody but Vene had known he was the father until I read her and made the news public.
None of this was behavior I could condone. But I still didn’t have all the facts, so was trying to keep an open mind until I did.
I was very confused and in need of distraction. Flirting with my three favorite guys helped a lot.
The situation at Galen had also changed dramatically in the few hours I had been gone.
Galen’s security had been breached. And it seemed just too much of a coincidence that Langdon’s self-caused catastrophe had removed my Security forces from the eisteddfod halls, leaving free entry to the soldiers and their flamethrowers.
Now, instead of my bringing the Typhon runaways to a nice calm place, they were going to be thrown head-first into chaos.
