About this ebook

It's been said that Eli Manning is one of the most overanalyzed, discussed, dissected and criticized quarterback New York has ever had. But, in order to truly understand Eli Manning, you must first understand where he came from. "Eli Manning: An Unauthorized Biography" explores Manning's upbringing, his high school and college football careers, and details his breakthrough into the NFL, all the way through his second Super Bowl win against the New England Patriots.

Now that he's beaten the Patriots in not one, but two Super Bowls within a four-year period, Manning has proven that he is in the same class as those other "elite" quarterbacks. It's clear that he's finally ridded himself of the status of "Peyton's younger brother."

From family to football to the future, all you need to know about Eli Manning is right here, right now, in the most up to date coverage of Eli Manning's life.

This book also includes all of Eli Manning's college and professional football statistics.

    Early Life

He was the last of three sons of Archie – a college quarterback and an NFL veteran – and Olivia Manning – a college homecoming queen. Given that his two older brothers, Cooper and Peyton, showed an interest in school athletics and his father, Archie was deeply entrenched in the world of professional football, it wasn’t really surprising that Eli went down that road too. Archie Manning, was a college football star and NFL starter for the New Orleans Saints from 1971 to 1982. He had a couple of short stints in Houston and later Minnesota, before finally retiring after fourteen seasons, to provide commentary on the Saints’ radio broadcasts.

Eli was only three years old when his father retired from the world of the NFL. Too young to remember his father play, he knew of his father’s professional football life only through stories and old video footage. Seven years younger than his brother Cooper and five years younger than Peyton, Eli still enjoyed playing sports just as much as his two brothers. Birth order might have something to do with Eli’s mannerisms, which were decidedly more reserved and less competitive than his older brothers.

In Manning, an autobiography by Archie and his second-eldest son, Peyton, Archie discusses his concern regarding the relationship he shares with his sons, particularly Eli. In the book, he talks about
