About this audiobook
The Dhammapada is the single most important extant Buddhist text. It is unquestionably ‘the voice of the Buddha’ where many of his key ideas are presented in a cogent verse form. It opens ’All that we are is the result of what we have thought’ and each of the twenty-six sections is clearly introduced. Also included on this recording are other key Buddhist concepts illustrated by original texts. A unique concept recording.

What our readers think
Readers find this title full of wisdom and direct. However, some may find it cryptic and lacking practicality. The narration is well-done, reminiscent of biblical parables.

Full of wisdom for those who have some degree of maturity. It is direct and insightful, no beating about the bush, no room for conjecture or conceptualization. Well narrated!1 person found this helpful

It is a pity that it is so cryptic, instead of being more practical. It reminds me of parables in the bible, but without explanation to their meaning.1 person found this helpful
