Chapter 1

How much money do you think they blew this time? Justin laughed over the noisy bar.

I took a sip of beer and shrugged. I don’t know. Kadie earns more than I do at her job, so I’m not going to sweat it.

Justin sighed. Yeah, well... I just hope they get back soon. The two of them together is a dangerous combination.

I nodded. He was right about that.

Our wives, Kadie and Chelsea, had run off to spend a few hours at the spa while Justin and I hit the bowling alley. They planned to meet up with us at a nearby bar to hang out before we headed home, but so far, they hadn’t shown. It was a Friday night and the bar was busy, but Justin and I had managed to grab a four-person table near the back.

Another ten minutes passed as we chatted, then we spotted Kadie and Chelsea near the front of the bar. We waved and they waved back, then hurried over to our table.

Kadie was the same gorgeous knockout I had married three years ago, fresh out of college—an energetic brunette with beautiful brown eyes and an irresistible smile that put the cutest dimples on her face. Today she was wearing tight jeans and a yellow strap top, cut off just above her belly button to show a tempting midriff.

"Don’t worry, we didn’t spend too much while we were shopping," Chelsea said to Justin, a wicked grin on her face that clearly said otherwise.

Chelsea had neck length, dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes that almost seemed to shine. She wore denim shorts and a summer tank top that showed off her figure.

"Although we might have spent a bit more at the spa, Kadie admitted. She ran her hands down her smooth face, clearly pleased with whatever treatment she had received. Then she held out her left hand. But my skin is so soft now. And take a look at my nails."
