Das vorliegende Werk ist ein Auszug aus Stillers Grundriss der Philosophie und eignet sich als Kurzeinführung in die Philosophie. Das Werk besteht aus drei Teilen, einer Ontologie, die sich eng an die Metaphysik von Aristoteles anlehnt, eine negative Ethik auf der Grundlage des Nichtsschadensprinzips und einer Erkenntnistheorie, die die bekannten Erkenntnistheorien von Thomas von Aquin, Immanuel Kant und Rudolf Steiner noch einmal erweitert.
