“Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece”. ¡Eso suena maravilloso! Pero, ¿qué es "todo"? ¿Ser un campeón de futbol? ¿O un físico nuclear? ¿O un súper modelo? ¿O un magnate rico? ¿O el próximo presidente de mi país? A fin de cuentas, el texto dice “todo”, ¿no es cierto? Entonces, ¿por qué limitar a Dios?
Algo nos dice que debe haber un error en esta interpretación o, de lo contrario, habría un exceso de futbolistas, físicos nucleares, súper modelos, y magnates ricos. Pero muchos cristianos no piensan en ello con la debida atención.
Malinterpretar un texto no es solo un problema: es una tragedia. Dios tiene la intención de que Su Palabra sea entendida. . .

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength": that sounds wonderful! What things? Become a champion footballer? or a nuclear physicist? or a super model? or a rich tycoon? or the next president of my country? After all, the text says "all things," doesn't it? So why should we limit God?
Something tells us that there must be a fault in this interpretation, or else there would a superfluity of footballers, nuclear physicists, super models, and rich tycoons. But many Christians don't think very carefully about this.
That's not only a problem; it is a tragedy. For God intends his Word to be understood. . .
