She was t...view moreErika Doughtie grew up in the tiny town of Scottsville, Virginia which rests along the James River only a few miles from the historical city of Charlottesville, Virginia. She was the first in her family to graduate high school and go on to college where she obtained both a bachelor and master degree in Criminal Justice. Her passion to write began at an early age, writing mostly science fiction and action/adventure stories in as early as 6th grade. Although her career choice became law enforcement, the passion to write still burns and has resulted in her publishing work through Associated Content including: "Miracle of Surprises, Hidden in Time: Scottsville, Virginia" and "My Journey up the Ladder of Life and Job Success." She has also recently self-published a novel titled "Overly Beautiful." When she's not working or writing she is spending time with her husband and two little girls.view less
